DYNAZTY / Renatus (2014)

Allow me to start this review by saying that I love this band! Dynazty, the band that in 2012 released the hard 'n' heavy thunder of "Sultans Of Sin", and ended-up in position # 3 at Heavy Paradise's Top list, nowadays is back with another stunning release which is entitled "Renatus".

PREACHER / Signals (2014)

Preacher is a progressive rock band that hails from Ayrshire in Scotland and have an impressive list of accolades chief amongst them being they are the only unsigned band to headline an event at the ABC 1 O2 Glasgow Arena. The "Signals" album is a tour de force of melodic/progressive rock telling the story of a visit from an extra-terrestrial higher order of beings. Our guardians have been observing Earth for a long time and now they feel it is time to arbitrate.

With their "My Own Angel" album, in 2011, ANKOR really achieved to release a solid modern melodic metal album full of some heavy riffs, plenty of melodies and attitude and grabbed my attention from the very first spin!

STEALTH were born in 2007 from an idea of Luca Occhi and Marcello Danieli, who immediately started to write songs and lyrics. With the addition of Andrea Rambelli, Matia Catozzi and Enrico Ghirelli, the band's line-up was finished. Since 2012, the band performed almost 60 live shows, including gigs, festivals and contests. STEALTH have, also, been interviewed by local press, radio, and televisions.

EDGUY CONSIDERS APPROACHING NASA FOR STAGE SET

In September EDGUY will hit the road in support of their forthcoming album “SPACE POLICE - DEFENDERS OF THE CROWN“ (out April 18th). The tour management has just revealed that they considered approaching NASA to help realize the stage for the show.

Italian rock band PAVIC is releasing their new video clip for the song “In Your Eyes” today which is taken from their recent album “Is War The Answer?”

"In your eyes" means that you have to find your truth, your way and your answers inside yourself. There's no other better than yourself to find all the answers to your questions. For this video (the third taken from Is War The Answer?) we wanted to take a different approach and use an abstract story to tell the idea behind the song. Our video maker Alessandro Russotto suggested to contact Roberto Recchioni, writer for the horror comics series Dylan Dog, to write the story for the video. Roberto is a big fan of heavy rock music and horror movies. He liked our song and so he decided to combine the two and instantly we had the perfect concept for the video.

It took some research before we found the right place to shoot the video. Alessandro was looking for a car dismantling area for a more horror movie-like location. We found the right place at the suburbs of Rome. The owner of the area was more than excited to have the video shooting at his place.

Age Sten Nilsen is picking up where his former band Wigwam left off. Penning new rock anthems with Erik Mårtensson (Eclipse/W.E.T) in Stockholm since October 2013, originally dedicated for the long awaited sixth studio album from Wigwam.

When Wigwam surprisingly decided to call it a day after 13 years, Age Sten soon formed his own band, recording the new songs in the vein of the new band effort Age Sten Nilsen's Ammunition.

The new material wears the same catchiness as Wigwam, yet offers a rougher and more subtle sound and arrangements than his former band's latter productions. Produced by one of melodic rocks most esteemed producers Erik Mårtensson, Age Sten Nilsen's Ammuniton is now on the verge of finishing it's first album due for a release later this year.
With a dream team of rock musicians in the line-up Age Sten Nilsen's Ammunition has already debuted live, blasting through Wigwam gems blended with new unreleased songs from the forthcoming album and live favorites from Zeppelin and Queen.

’s up-and-coming heavy metal bands that comprised the New Wave of British Heavy Metal (NWOBHM) were not content to wait for record labels to come knocking. Instead, they took to issuing their own music, typically in the form of 7 inch singles but also 12s and full-length album, many indie, some on small labels, and some on the major labels smart enough to get on board (essentially EMI and MCA).

Martin Popoff, author of 45 books on heavy metal (and at 7900, writer of more record reviews than anybody in history across all genres), has undertaken the task of documenting virtually every record large and wee from heavy metal’s most fabled period (beginning essentially in ‘79 with a hard stop at 1983) providing catalogue information, mini reviews as only he can do, plus a gob of thumbnails of those wonderful 7” picture sleeves and LP covers.

Note: the lion’s share of the material in Smokin’ Valves: A Headbanger’s Guide To 900 NWOBHM Records combines rewritten and expanded text from Martin’s long out-of-print The New Wave Of British Heavy Metal Singles plus the relevant reviews of full-length albums from his Collector’s Guide series, specifically the ‘70s and ‘80s book. These reviews have also experienced judicious editing and rewrites.

Are You Ready To Rock was the third album from the group, but by the members themselves considered the true first album in terms of sound and group line up. The album was made after some frustrating years and the writing and recording sessions became the turning point for the two remaining members Erik and Magnus. The album was released by Frontiers Records in 2008 and was an instant success all over the world. Surprisingly and to many fans disappointment the album was sold out. But the success fed the fire and the follow-up album, Bleed And Scream, was released and made a huge impact on a whole world of melodic rock fans.

Due to a line of massive requests the band now have chosen to resurrect Are You Ready To Rock – in a new, fresh and updated suit!

SUPREMA / Traumatic Scenes (2013)

SupreMa is a Power / Progressive Metal band formed in 2004 by guitarist and main songwriter Douglas Jen in São Paulo. In the following year, the EP "Spyeyes" was released, placing the band on several "best of" polls, such as on Whiplash, the most popular Rock and Metal website in Brazil, being pointed as one of the greatest revelations of 2005 and 2006 in the country.

ARCH ENEMY: 'War Eternal' Video Featuring New Singer ALISSA WHITE-GLUZ

The official video for "War Eternal", the title track of the ninth studio album from Swedish / American / Canadian metallers ARCH ENEMY, can be seen below. The clip was directed by Patric Ullaeus of Revolver Film Company, who has previously worked with DIMMU BORGIR, LACUNA COIL, IN FLAMES, SONIC SYNDICATE and KAMELOT, among others.

Due in North America on June 10 via Century Media Records, "War Eternal" will introduce a new member to ARCH ENEMY's ranks: Alissa White-Gluz, former vocalist of Canadian extreme metallers THE AGONIST. Angela Gossow, who joined ARCH ENEMY in 2000 and made her debut on the now classic "Wages Of Sin" (2001), has stepped down as frontwoman and will focus on management, while Alissa takes her place.

Alissa White-Gluz previously stated about her addition to the ARCH ENEMY lineup: "I am very honored and happy to announce a new chapter in my life and musical career beginning now; I have joined forces with one of my all-time favourite and globally respected bands, ARCH ENEMY. 'Wages Of Sin' was the first metal album I ever bought, and it was love at first listen.

According to Joe Perry, AEROSMITH will hit the road in the U.S. later this year with support from Slash and the former GUNS N' ROSES axeman's bandmates MYLES KENNEDY AND THE CONSPIRATORS — Myles Kennedy (vocals), Brent Fitz (drums), Todd Kerns (bass) and Frank Sidoris (guitar). Tickets will go on sale in the next few weeks.

AEROSMITH frontman Steven Tyler is reportedly working on a solo album, tentatively due later this year.

The AEROSMITH singer issued his first-ever solo song, called "(It) Feels So Good", in May 2011 while serving as a judge on "American Idol".

AEROSMITH's latest album, "Music From Another Dimension!", came out in November 2012 and debuted at No. 5 on The Billboard 200 album chart, selling 63,000 copies in its first week of release. The CD was helmed by producer Jack Douglas, who previously worked with AEROSMITH on classic early albums like "Toys In The Attic" and "Rocks" as well as on 2004's "Honkin' On Bobo".

Slash and MYLES KENNEDY AND THE CONSPIRATORS recently entered the studio to record the third album under the solo Slash banner. The follow-up to 2012's "Apocalyptic Love" is being helmed by producer Michael "Elvis" Baskette, known for his work with Kennedy's other band, ALTER BRIDGE, as well as FALLING IN REVERSE, STORY OF THE YEAR and INCUBUS, to name a few.

WILD ROSE SIGN WITH AOR BLVD RECORDS

The original idea for Wild Rose was sprung in 2004 by Andy Rock. A lot of soul-searching was required initially, as it was essential to find a suitable line up to harness the stylish and polished mellow sound of a quality AOR Band. Finally, after two years and several line-up changes Wild Rose settled on the line-up today, introduced to an unsuspecting public back in 2006, with quality songs composed by Andy Rock. In 2007, Wild Rose released their first promo single CD entitled "It's All About Love" which contained the hard hitting title track and "Too Late", tracks that rapidly became accepted and loved by the AOR audience.

During the same period Wild Rose were picked up as support on Talisman's Farewell Tour in Hellas. At the beginning of 2008, two members took a break from Wild Rose to fulfil their military obligations. The band was put on hold for a while and Andy Rock continued to work on writing new material. They returned in mid-2009, recording a 10 track demo CD with tracks written by Andy Rock and Dirty Haris. These songs took on a maturity all of their own and ended up on the band's debut album “Half Past Midnight”, which was finally released on 10 October 2011 on Retrospect Records. This debut opus received blazing reviews in the AOR specific press and to promote the album the band followed this up by playing two shows in Athens and Thessaloniki to enthusiastic and overwhelming support from the Hellenic audiences!

CHASTAIN releases the "Evil Awaits Us" music video!

Leviathan Records Worldwide has just released the new CHASTAIN video "Evil Awaits Us" from the band's new CD "Surrender To No One." This marks the first music video from CHASTAIN with Leather Leone on vocals since the classic "For Those Who Dare" video from 1990!

The video was filmed on 3 different continents. David T. Chastain explains, "With the band scattered around the world it took us a little more time than we would have liked but in the end it does justice to the story." Joining David and Leather on the video are original bassist Mike Skimmerhorn and new drummer Stian Kristoffersen. There is also a special appearance by Metal internet sensation Ladyevil. David states "Ladyevil brings her beauty to go with the beast of CHASTAIN. Joseph Michael Guests on Omery Rising Single Mixed by Ralph Patlan

  Joseph Michael (White Wizzard,Midnight Reign) went into the studio with Producer Ralph Patlan (Megadeth,Michael Schenker, UFO) to lay down some vocals for a guest appearance on Omery Rising's First Single.

The Band Released the following statement:

      "New single from Fresno's own Omery Rising! Featuring ex-White Wizzard singer and relative to the late great Ronnie James Dio, Joseph Michael on vocals. It's finally here! We are happy to announce the release of our very first single, "Lady Snow".

Killers Lodge is a new band but all its members are well-known musicians that have played in several bands. Kiss, Def Leppard announce 2014 summer tour

Kiss and Def Leppard will team up this summer for a 42-city North American tour that will "deliver good news and excitement," says Kiss guitarist Paul Stanley.

The tour begins June 23 in West Valley City, Utah, and wraps up Aug. 31 in Woodlands, Texas. Tickets go on sale starting Friday.

The groups announced the tour Monday at the House of Blues in Los Angeles.The press conference was streamed live via the Live Nation website.

Def Leppard singer Joe Elliott says he and Gene Simmons first discussed the idea of the two bands touring together when he and the Kiss bassist played some South American dates two years ago as part of a rock-and-roll all-stars tour. "It's finally happened, which is fantastic," Elliott says.

It'll be the first time the two bands have shared a bill, though Stanley says, "We've run into each other at festivals. It just seemed to be a natural fit." Stanley also noted that one of guitarist Phil Collen's pre-Def Leppard bands, Girl, opened for Kiss in the U.K. during the early '80s.

LAWLESS / Rock Savage (2013)

LAWLESS is a new melodic hard rock band and "Rock Savage" is entitled their debut album which was released in 2013. Even if Lawless is a new band, the members are not new in the music business. For example, the lead singer Paul Hume and the drummer, Neil Ogden were both band-mates in DEMON. The other two members of Lawless are guitarist Howie G. of Persian Risk and Josh Williams (drums) of Headrush.

Legendary AOR artist Stan Bush is releasing his brand new effort, through MelodicRock Records, which is entitled "The Ultimate". The album title says it all! In my humble opinion, this is Stan Bush's best album to date while the musician returns to some more harder edged AOR forms filled with emotional performances, very good guitar work and some choruses to sing-a-long for days!

BRAINSTORM / Firesoul (2014)

BRAINSTORM were founded in 1989 by Torsten Ihlenfeld, Milan Loncaric and drummer Dieter Bernert. The first years saw the band build a solid groundwork with several demo releases and live appearances. Then in 1997, BRAINSTORM signed their first record deal, the self-produced “Hungry” album was released and received good critics. Just a year later, the band was back in the studio to record their second album “Unholy”, this time under the aegis of Charlie Bauerfeind and Dirk Schlächter.

TEMPERANCE is a new born modern melodic hard 'n' heavy band and with its debut opus its ready to make some noise in the metal world! Temperance's musicians all have the skills and abilities to take their band to a higher level in the near future, that's sure. Heavy Paradise talked with Giulio Capone (drums/keys) and Temperance's amazing singer Chiara about this really impressive debut, the band's future plans and some other interesting stuff!

Heavy Paradise : I would like to welcome Temperance to Heavy Paradise and to congratulate you guys for your fantastic debut album!

Giulio: Thanks a lot to ALL the Hellas metalheads there!!!

Heavy Paradise : Before starting this interview, would you like to tell our readers some things about the band?

Giulio: While Temperance is a very young brand, its musicians are quite experienced since they played with many different bands during the last 14 years. After we disbanded our old band we decided to go on with the same line up, expect for the singer Chiara who is the new entry, and to break all the rules we had in music. So we simply started to write music and lyrics without any boundaries of genre, label, style or what else. This is how Temperance was born and we are really proud of what we achieved and how we did it:) The current line up is me, Giulio at the drums and keyboards, Marco at lead guitars and clean male vocals, Sandro at rhythmic guitars, Chiara at the lead vocals and Luca at the bass guitar.
The band, in despite of the young "age" of our history is solid and able to play live so be ready for us eheh

GUS G. / I Am The Fire (2014)

GUS G. is the virtuoso guitarist of the rock icon Ozzy Osbourne! He is, also, well-known as the man behind the power metal act of FIREWIND and as a member of Arch Enemy and Dream Evil!! His skills are simply breathtaking but GUS G. is not only a shredder, he is a very good songwriter as well and with this album he is proving that in a very good way!

“Voodoo Jesus“, a brand new song from doomy heavy metallers EXORCISM, who feature Joe “Shredlord” Stump in their ranks, can be streamed below. The track is taken from the band’s debut album, “I Am God“, which will be released April 25 worldwide via GoldenCore Records/ZYX Music.
