The new effort sees the band stronger than ever movin' to the same glory melodic metal paths of its previous recordings and also establishing itself as one of the best of its kind. 

REVIEW : Elvenking, Reader Of The Runes - Rapture (AFM Records, Release April 28, 2023)

Allow me to start the review by saying that I've never checked any of ELVENKING's work so far. So, for the 'newbees', as I am, regarding the 'who is who' about Elvenking, let's see a couple of things about the band's history. 

REVIEW : Firewind, Firewind (AFM Records Release: 15 May 2020)

So, what we have here is the brand new album from melodic metal masters FIREWIND. For those who don't know Firewind, allow me to say that this band has an already long time career and it's held by guitarist Gus G (Ozzy, solo). With many great releases so far, Firewind achieved to build a strong reputation around their name and played in many great shows and, also, shared the stage with many big bands.

REVIEW : Steel Prophet --- The God Machine (ROAR! Rock Of Angels Records, Release: 26 April 2019)

US Power Metal legends Steel Prophet are back with a brand new opus titled "The God Machine". The new record features singer / producer R.D. Liapakis of Mystic Prophecy / Devil's Train and his uniquely ranged vocal skills that fit perfectly with the band's sound. Liapakis is not just only the man behind the microphone but he's, also, contributed to the songwriting and production of the album.

REVIEW : BEAST IN BLACK --- FROM HELL WITH LOVE (Nuclear Blast Records, 2019)

After the solid and already classic debut album "Berserker" back in 2017, BEAST IN BLACK strikes back with yet another thunderous album! This time with "From Hell With Love" Beast In Black set the candidate for THE album of 2019! Yes, "From Hell With Love" includes all the power, all the melodies and all the amazing performances of the debut plus a bigger and more polished sound and the result is simply breathtaking.

REVIEW : Brainstorm --- Midnight Ghost (AFM Records, 2018)

I really liked the new BRAINSTORM album a lot!!!!! To be honest with you here, I played this new record over and over again the last three days! It's one of these releases that sticks into your mind for days; melodic power metal at its best!! But, lets take things from the start. Brainstorm is a band that knows how to deliver solid and powerful power metal stuff with plenty of melodies, that's a fact. 

REVIEW : PRIMAL FEAR --- Apocalypse (Frontiers Music s.r.l., August 2018)

Primal Fear is a German melodic power metal band that was founded back in 1997. With, already 11 albums on their sleeves Primal Fear is considered one of the top bands of their genre. Nowadays, the band is ready to bring on its brand new opus with the title "Apocalypse" through Frontiers Music s.r.l.

REVIEW : Öblivïon -- Resilience (2018, ROAR ! Rock Of Angles Records)

The "Dream Team" of today's French metal scene is a new band called ÖBLIVÏON. Their debut record "RESILIENCE" is armed and ready to 'hit' the stores on February 23rd through Rock Of Angels Records. The band consists of Jo Amore on vocals (Now Or Never, Temple Of Dio, ex Nightmare), David Amore  on drums (ex Nightmare), Markus Fortunato on bass (Fortunato, ex MZ), Steff Rabilloud on guitars (Urgent, Hey Stoopids, Eye On Maiden, ex Nightmare) and Florian Lagoutte on guitars (ex Despairhate, ex Fenrir, Forsaken World).

REVIEW : LIONE / CONTI --- LIONE / CONTI (Frontiers Music s.r.l., January 2018)

Judging by the art-cover of this new project by Frontiers Records, it looks like a new 'version' of Allen/Lande 's albums. Alessandro Conti is the singer of the Italian power metal band Trick Or Treat and Fabio Lione is the original singer of Rhaposdy, who fronted the band’s classic albums and he sang for Alex Staropoli’s RHAPSODY OF FIRE.

REVIEW : Reverence --- Foreverence (EP, 2017/Razar Ice Records)

Melodic power metallers Reverence are back in business with a brand new EP which is entitled "Foreverence". Foreverence is a tribute to their guitarist Pete Rossi, who passed away unexpectedly last March. The EP is the follow-up to 2015’s Gods Of War and it will, also, feature two bonus tracks from their up and coming live CD, due out in early 2018.

REVIEW : The Dark Element - The Dark Element (2017)

The Dark Element is a new project/band that consists of former Nightwish vocalist Anette Olzon and Finnish guitarist and songwriter Jani Liimatainen. This collaboration between those two musicians creates a strong debut album that the sure thing is that will put a big smile upon the face of every Epic, Power Metal fan out there.

REVIEW : EAGLEHEART --- Reverse (2017)

To be honest here, I was looking forward to listening to this new album from Eagleheart. You see, I liked a lot their second opus, "Dreamtherapy", back in 2011. That was a damn fine sample of pure melodic power metal stuff that included a bunch of some killer tunes, strong performances and an overall tight musicianship.

REVIEW : Masterplan -- PumpKings (2017)

As you can all asume judging by the title of the new Masterplan's album, "PumpKings", this new opus is connected with Roland Grapow's time in Helloween. Yes, "PumpKings" includes songs which Roland contributed to Helloween's rich legacy during his time in the band. These songs have been re-recorded by Masterplan's current line-up recently. "PumpKings" will be released on August 11th as Digipak and colored (orange, of course) double Vinyl in gatefold sleeve.

REVIEW : THE UNITY -- The Unity (2017)

This is really a very interesting band all the way! But let's take things from the start. I have in my hands the debut cd of a new band that called The Unity. The Unity took flesh and blood from the collaboration between Gamma Ray members Michael Ehre (drums) and Henjo Richter (guitar). With the addition of vocalist Gianba Manenti, guitarist Stef E, bassist Jogi Sweers and keyboardist Sascha Onnen (all from Ehre's other band LOVE.MIGHT.KILL) The Unity present us their self-titled debut record that the certain thing is that will rock your world.

REVIEW : SECRET SPHERE -- The Nature of Time (2017)

Secret Sphere is back in music business with their, already, ninth full-length album. "The Nature Of Time" is entitled the band's newest opus and after my first spin I have to say that I like it a lot! Since their creation Secret Sphere achieved to build a strong reputation around their name and a strong base among the fans of the melodic progressive/power metal scene.

REVIEW : SAILING TO NOWHERE -- “LOST IN TIME” (2017)

A couple of years back I reviewed a really interesting album that grabbed my attention at once. Sailing To Nowhere's debut release, "To The Unknown", was a damn fine slice of melodic power metal platter full of strong melodic lines, heavy riffs and solos, solid performances and a bunch of some killer songs that left me with a sweet impression.
