REVIEW : To Die For / Cult (2015)

To be honest here, the band of TO DIE FOR is not a stranger to me but, also, it never happened to listen to something from its previous works. From the press release, I read that "Cult" is, already, the band's 7th official release!!!

SAVILLE ROW Debut Featuring Troy Lucckette (TESLA)

Saville Row began in 2011 when Troy Luccketta, drummer for the legendary band, Tesla, introduced Mika Greiner, former lead singer of the West Coast band, Redline 5, to Marc Bonilla (Toy Matinee, Keith Emerson Band), a prominent guitarist and composer in the L.A. Music scene. Marc and Mika began writing material in between television and movie projects and brought in Troy to handle drums and assist with the recording process.

The trio was now ready to expand to a full band and needed to recruit a fourth member to complete the lineup. After an exhaustive search, they found bassist, Travis Davis, who had responded to a national ad. The newly-founded Saville Row have spent the last 3 years honing their musical chemistry through recording and live performance and are preparing for the August release of their debut album, The Way Around It, with producer, Ryan Greene (Dishwalla).

EVENOIRE / Herons (2014)

Evenoire's debut album, "Vitriol" in 2012, was a fine piece of symphonic/gothic metal stuff that included some really amazing performances, a tight musicianship and a bunch of some very good songs. And, if "Vitriol" was centered on “water” themes, this new album focuses on “fire” and all those mythological creatures that represent it.

HERETIC'S DREAM / WALK THE TIME (2013)

"Take your time to listen to your soul, identify your talents, and let your passion grow. Live your life to the full, explore your possibilities, seek opportunities and overcome your limits. Walk the time of your existence." When I first got my promo for Heretic's Dream new album, I crushed upon these so emotional and true words and I have to admit that they touched my soul. I, also, said to myself that, if the music of Heretic's Dream is so good as these words, then I can't wait to push the 'play' button!!!

GODYVA / ALIEN HEART (2013)

The female-fronted band of Godyva is releasing its third opus with the title "Alien Heart". Godyva exists since 2001 and since then has released an EP, "Advent", and two full-length albums "In Good And Evil" and "Planetarium".

LULLACRY / WHERE ANGELS FEAR (2012)

"Where Angels Fear" is the band's long-waited fifth album, on Scarlet Records and marks the first Lullacry release since 2005's 'Vol. 4'. The new effort is produced by Mikko Herranen, who, also, sings a duet with Tanja in the track 'Feel My Revenge'. The album was mastered by Svante Forsbäck at Chartmakers (Rammstein, Volbeat, Apocalyptica, Sonata Arctica) in Helsinki, Finland. Here is how guitarist Sami Leppikangas commented the event:

EVENOIRE / VITRIOL (2012)

Evenoire was originaly formed in 2007 and this is their debut album which is titled "Vitriol". Evenoire sound can be described as a mix of a wide range influences such as Symphonic Metal, Gothic with some Folk pinches but, most of all, they distinguish for the amazing vocal lines of their lead vocalist Lisy Stefanoni who gives the extra something to the band's final sound.
