"Welcome To The Future" shows the band taking things a step forward in regards to its latest solid record "Force Majuere" and to be more precise here the new album is bigger, louder and larger than life! Hit after hit, melodic lines enough to make your ears bleed from pleasure, powerful vocals, a bigger attitude and a late 80's vibe to haunt the final result.
"Disaster" sounds like the perfect opener, the perfect 'warm up' of what's to follow up next. It's a heavier, in-your-face beast with an enormous chorus line to sing-a-long! "Bad Time For Love" is pure H.E.A.T., no doubt 'bout that. The melodies, the harmonies and the hooks are 100% H.E.A.T.!!! Next, in "Running To You" the band goes a bit more 'Hair Metal', more U.S. flavoured and the result is huge!! Just listen to the chorus line and you'll understand what I'm talkin' about.
The fantastic melodic intro of "Call My Name" is pure ear candy and when the song starts, then you'll find yet another gem out of this new record. Excellent stuff!! "In Disquise" is a hard rocking track with a noce groove in it while with "The End" H.E.A.T. are delivering one of the best tracks of their career!!! A track that even Bon Jovi would dream to write these days!! The chorus is what I call melodic rock paradise!!
"Children Of The Storm" includes a blistering melodic rhythm that grabs you and leaves you hungry for more while in "Losing Game" we have another hard hitting and powerful track that reminds me a lot of EUROPE's earlier days. Check out also the bad-ass " We Will Not Forget" and the 'classy' "Paradise Lost".
Bottom line is that H.E.A.T. with this new opus, "Welcome To The Future", shows that after all those years they don't dissapoint us and at the end of the day they achieve to release a huge album with incredible hooks, a stellar production, a polished sound, anthemic and well-written songs and powerful performances that will be a future classic!!! EXCELLENT!!!
