REVIEW : WHEELS OF FIRE, ALL IN (Art Of Melody Music / Burning Minds Music Group, Release date: March 21, 2025)

Italian melodic rock band Wheels Of Fire is back in business with its brand new opus entitled "All In" through Art Of Melody Music / Burning Minds Music Group

WOF was born back in 2006 by lead singer Davide Barbieri. After Michele Luppi (Whitesnake, David Coverdale) listened to some demos, their collaboration began and the next step was the release of the first album, "Hollywood Rocks" in 2010. The album was extremely successful in Europe and South America, and reached #42 in the well-known Japanese magazine Burrn’s ranking.

The band's second album with the title "Up For Anything" was released in 2012 and again achieved to gain positive feedback from both fans and press. Seven years later the band released its third full-length effort entitled "Begin Again". Nowadays Wheels Of Fire is ready to unleash album number four with the 'clever' title "All In". With this new baby Wheels Of Fire continue to deliver solid, powerful and melodic hard rock in the vain of the previous recordings but with a more 'heavier' and up-to-dated sound in.

The band consists of Davide Barbieri (vocals, keys), Stefano Zeni (guitars), Simon Dredo (bass) and Fabrizio Uccellini (drums).

The opener tune of "Fool's Paradise" is just a cracker! Fast-paced, heavy and in-your-face this tune simply kicks some major asses!! "Under Your Spell" includes a bigger groove in it and shows off the influences of the band from the golden era of the U.S. melodic Hard Rock/Hair Metal scene. "Resonate" is a more laid-back track that reminded me a lot of Bon Jovi's earlier works. For sure another highlight out of "All In". Even Barbieri's voice reminds me of Jon Bon Jovi's voice. The 'punchy' and modern heavy rock anthem of "99 Lies" is killer while in "Neverland" we are dealing with yet another up-beat and more commercial track that sounds like it jumped out from the late 80's!!! I also loved the huge and powerful power ballad of "Invisible" and the guitar-driven tune of "Walking On The Wire".

For sure, a great album all the way!!! After some spins of this new Wheels Of Fire opus, I have to say that everything here rocks big big time! The guitars by Stefano Zeni are top notch with some really inspired guitar solos and riffs, the vocals are powerful and the rhythm section is solid as a rock! So, all in for these Italian rockers that came back hungrier than ever!

RATING : 🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆 (9 / 10 )
