Liberty N Justice - Chasing A Cure LP (Limited Edition)

Liberty N Justice was formed in 1991 as a full time Christian hard rock band. Formed by Justin Murr and Patrick Marchand the band turned into a solo project for Murr in 2002. Now Liberty N’ Justice are teaming up with Roxx Records for a very special strictly Limited Edition Pressing of their recently released ‘Chasing A Cure EP’. Originally this EP was released as a digital only download and made available for a donation of $7.50 or more.

Now and for a limited time you can own a CD copy of the ‘Chasing A Cure EP’ with a portion of the proceeds being donated to The Epilepsy Foundation. This new version of the EP will also be expanded to now become the ‘Chasing A Cure LP’ and will now include both some brand new and previously unreleased tracks! Liberty n' Justice are trying to create awareness of epilepsy and raise money for research to find a cure with this special release. This disease hits very close to home for Justin Murr and his family. Justin's oldest daughter, Trinity Paige Murr, was diagnosed with epilepsy at age 7. For the past five years she has battled through daily medication, hospital stays, cluster seizures, induced comas, three weeks in the ICU - and finally even under going brain surgery.

All of these artists donated their talent and time for this EP while the cover artwork was created and contributed by Rex Zachary and the CD layout and design will be contributed by Scott Waters. The line up on the original EP alone is enough for the hard rock fan to want to purchase this CD! But also check out just some of the tracks being included...

Guardian / Fire and Love (1990)

This is a very good hard rock album. After their strong debut album in 1989, Guardian are back with this new one and with a new singer. Jamie Rowe (later in AdrianGale)  is the new lead singer and he is doin' an excellent job with his rough and strong voice. The musicianship is tight, the production is big, the guitar work from Tony Palacios is once again amazing but in my opinion something is missing from this album. I don't know what it is, maybe the lack of choruses? After all these years I still have this feeling. The album starts powerfull with "Power of Love", a song with a strong rhythm section and a nice chorus line. "Time Stands Still" is another one highlight of this album and my personal favourite. "Forever and a Day" is a track that could easily appeared in a Bon Jovi album and "Turnaround ' has an amazing and inspired intro-riff but the chorus line isn't what I expected! All in all this is a very interesting release from Guardian, and my personal favourite. A couple of fillers here don't bother me and maybe with some bigger choruse lines here this album could probably be one of the best of that era!

Stryper / Murder By Pride (2009)

I'm glad that stryper are back with this effort, great comeback from the best Christian band ever! Is far far better than the bad "reborn" album, it sounds like a more modern "against the law". The vocal harmonies and the guitar work are more straight forward than the "reborn" album. Ok this may not is a masterpiece as their earlier works but for sure is a solid record with some great tracks.
The title "reborn" fits better with this release...... 7,5/10
Tracklist 1. Eclipse For The Son 2. 4 Leaf Clover 3. Peace Of Mind 4. Alive 5. The Plan 6. Murder By Pride 7. Mercy Over Blame 8. I Believe 9. Run In You 10. Love Is Why 11. Everything 12. My Love (I’ll Always Show) 13. My Love My Life My Flame

Stryper / Soldiers Under Command (1985)

Great album! 'Soldiers Under Command' is a  classik one from this band. The sound is heavier, M. Sweet's voice and screams are the power point of the album and for sure a trademark for Stryper. The lyrics are talkin' about Jesus Christ and Love, the guitar work is very good and there are some fantastic tracks here like "Soldiers Under Command " (one of the band's best ever tracks), "The Rock That Makes Me Roll " , "Surrender ", "Makes Me Wanna Sing "....every song is a winner! God smiled down on these guys!! 8,5/10
