REVIEW : DEAD OF NIGHT -- In Search of Ancient Magic (2017)

Allow me to start my review by saying that this is an excellent piece of Symphonic Rock! Yes, it's one of those albums that you fell in love with the first spin. Even if this kinda of music is not the one that I like the most, I have to say that this band, Dead Of Night, took me by surprise with its brand new opus "In Search Of Ancient Magic".

REVIEW : MIKE TRAMP -- Maybe Tomorrow (2017)

The voice of White Lion, the man that fronted one of the best Melodic Hard Rock bands ever Mike Tramp is releasing today his brand new, already tenth, solo album with the title "Maybe Tomorrow". With White Lion, he released timeless music that stood through the test of time and put White Lion into the pantheon of this scene.

New single from Art Nation OUT NOW!

Art Nation, the fast rising rock act from Gothenburg, Sweden, will release first single “The Real Me” from its highly anticipated second album Liberation, April 28th via Sony Music/Gain.

The album was recorded once again at Top Floor Studios by producer/engineer Jakob Herrmann (Amaranthe, Evergrey, Hardcore Superstar), and co-produced by Theodor Hedström and the studio’s assistant engineer Christoffer Borg (Kee Marcello, Bob Hund), who is also one of Art Nation’s guitarists. To further emphasise each song’s identity, the producers and the band made the decision to work with multiple mixing engineers to equally share the mixing duties with Herrmann/Borg. Bringing back Jacob Hansen (Amaranthe, Volbeat), who mixed previous album “Revolution”, felt like an obvious choice. For a third mixing engineer, they chose to work with Adam “Nolly” Getgood (Periphery, Devin Townsend). The album was mastered by Dragan Tanaskovic (In Flames, Avatar).

Liberation is a musical rollercoaster and starts with the both groovy and catchy

Junkyard Drive is a new and young band from Denmark and its goal is to create solid and ass-kickin' rock 'n' roll music in an old-fashioned way!! I think that you get a small picture of how this band sounds. If not, then you have to check this band out!!!

REVIEW : ART NATION -- Liberation (2017)

ART NATION is a melodic hard rock/AOR band from Sweden and it could easily be the next big thing from this country!! After the solid debut "Revolution" in 2015, Art Nation comes back with a new opus which is entitled "Liberation". The fact is that recently I discovered more and more interesting bands from the rock scene in general. My new discovery is a band from Belfast, Northern Island which is called Rosco's Riot. "Crazy And Wild" was the band's debut record that was released last year and it's about a well-crafted album with a bunch of some killer tunes in it.

Heavy Paradise : A new album, “Monumentum”, and judging by the first two singles (‘never look back’ and ‘vertigo’) I have to say that it’s a killer one! Love these songs! My question is a bit cliché but I have to ask; is that your best album to-date?

Erik: A cliché question gets a cliché answer but it's actually honest. I believe it's our best album so far. There is not a single weak song on this album and I have not been able to say that about our other albums. And it sounds more Eclipse than ever before

While we look forward to release the long-awaited 4^th Supercharger album, the first single called “ROTTENBURG” hits the streets in February.

The idea dates back to a night some years ago, where the touring night liner cut it’s way through Germany from one venue to another. Bass player Karsten noticed a city sign: Rottenburg! The name expressed a dark place where U-turns are impossible and hangovers certain! Later in the studio the track almost wrote itself containing everything that Supercharger is known for but taking it a step further...

Street Symphonies Records is very proud to present VIANA, a melodic rock project by Italian guitarist Stefano Viana. His debut album features several session players among the most esteemed on aor/melodic rock scene: Alessandro Del Vecchio on vocals, Francesco Marras on guitar, Anna Portalupi on bass and Alessandro Mori on drums (well-known for their collaboration with artists such as Hardline, Tarja, Ted Poley and John Macaluso), Gabriele Gozzi (Rhyme, Skill In Veins, Killer Klown) on backing vocals and Pasquale India on keyboards. Marcie Free is without any doubt one of the best voices out there! The years to follow saw Unruly Child releasing two more records (with different singers) and a compilation with Free on vocals.

Mean Streak Ink European Deal With Rock Of Angels Records, Blind Faith Album On CD/Vinyl Due In June

Swedish traditional heavy metal band, MEAN STREAK, have signed with European label ROAR Rock Of Angels Records. MEAN STREAK's fourth album 'Blind Faith', includes 11 tracks, to be released on CD and Vinyl, due on June 2nd. The band recently announced the signing with Marquee/Avalon for a Japanese release, incl. 1 bonus track, due out on May 31st.

Bassist Peter Andersson states: “This is exciting for us to work with Rock Of Angels Records, as our new album is coming in Europe as a vinyl version too! We are really looking forward to do our fourth album with Rock Of Angels Records in Europe. The album artwork is in progress right now and we can't wait to share it with the fans soon.”

The album is produced by Peter Andersson and Max Norman, mixed by Max Norman (Ozzy Osbourne, Lynch Mob, Armored Saint, Lizzy Borden, Megadeth, Y&T) and mastered by Thomas “Plec” Johansson (Soilwork, Onslaught, Armageddon, Degradead, Dynazty) at The Panic Room Mastering.

REVIEW : PLACE VENDOME -- Close to the Sun (2017)

This amazing band started its music journey with the already classic 'Place Vendome' debut in 2005 continue with the also solid album of 'Streets Of Fire' in 2008 and five years later (2013) 'Thunder In The Distance' saw the light of day. As I already said above Place Vendome's debut is a true classic record in my book. Strong arrangements, powerful and at the same time emotional performances, plenty of melodies and killer tunes were the ingredients of that superb album.

With two solid and very 80's records, Lionville achieved to build a strong reputation around their name in this so difficult and competitive scene. Their pure melodic rock sound along with the westcoast 'pinches' made Lionville a must listen for every fan of bands such as Toto, Richard Marx, Giant, Bad English, Survivor, and Boulevard to name just a few.

PAVIC presents the new single "The Sun Has Fallen" which is taken from the band's up-coming record later this year. The song talks about discomfort and the difficulties encountered when one tries so hard to hold something that should be let go.

REVIEW : BLACK CAT BONES -- Down To The River (EP, 2017)

Black Cat Bones is a rock band that ςασ formed in 2013 in Liverpool, U.K. and since its creation it became one of the most exciting bands of the Liverpool music scene. The band gained immediately popularity thanks to their live gigs and their energy on stage.
