REVIEW : SINHERESY -- Domino (2017)

Sinheresy is a metal band that originally was formed back in 2009 and since its creation it buit a strong reputation around its name. With already two albums on their sleeve, "The Spiders And The Butterfly" and "Paint The World", Sinheresy returns with a brand new opus which is entitled "Domino".

To be honest, I have never had the chance of hearing anything from this band till now that I received their brand new work for a review and after the first spins of "Domino" I have to admit that I like what I'm hearing.

Their sound is basically modern melodic metal with a strong 'touch' of symphonic sound that recalls the sound of great bands such as Within Temptation and Nightwish. The strong and emotional female vocal lines along with the aggressive, powerful and, also, emotional male performances gives to the final result a 'push' to take the whole project into a higher level. Plenty of beautiful melodies, excellent guitars and a solid rhythm section makes "Domino" a good purchase for every fan of this particular sound.

The whole album flows nicely and the variety between the harder songs and the slower, more symphonic, tunes makes it a pleasant listening from start to finish. If I had to pick my favorite songs out of the new effort, these would be the great, and very Amaranthe-esque, opener of "Domino", the catchier "My Only Faith", the commercial, punchier and extremely melodic "Under Your Skin" and "Believe".

All in all, this is a very enjoyable album all the way. A record that achieved to balance between melody and power and at the end leaves a sweet taste in your ears.

Rating : 8/10
