REVIEW : BLACK CAT BONES -- Down To The River (EP, 2017)

Black Cat Bones is a rock band that ςασ formed in 2013 in Liverpool, U.K. and since its creation it became one of the most exciting bands of the Liverpool music scene. The band gained immediately popularity thanks to their live gigs and their energy on stage.

Their debut EP album, "False Promises & Wasted Time" received a great feedback from fans, music press but, also, from notable colleagues such as The Answer who listened to the record on the road on their "Long Live The Renegades" tour!!! Not bad at all for these rockers!!!

Nowadays, a new EP, "Down To The River", is out and it seems that this band is aiming for bigger things in the near future. "Seen Better Days", the opener, sounds really good!! Old-fashioned rock stuff with nice riffs, passionate vocals and  a strong rhythm section! "Lust" is edgier, powerful and more in-your-face while "Give You The World" is a rather average tune, imho. But for me, the best tune here is without any doubt the groovier "The River"!!! Man, this is a really great classic rock song with a bad-ass riff, attitude, groove and a catchier chorus in it!!!

As I already mentioned above, this band is ready for bigger things in the near future. They have the 'package', they have the ideas and with a 'bigger' production they can take their work to a higher level!! Well done!!
