IMPERA release party announced

Swedish hard rockers IMPERA will celebrate the release of their new album "Pieces Of Eden", with an October 16 party and performance at ROQ on Gyldéngatan 2 in Stockholm, Sweden. The doors open at 18.00 (6:00PM), and there is no entry fee.

IMPERA will release their sophomore studio album, "Pieces Of Eden", on October 18 via Escape Music. The CD was produced by Johan "Impera" Kihlberg and was mixed by Lars Chriss (LION'S SHARE), who also plays guest guitar on the song "Goodbye" a cover of the track that originally appeared on Paul Stanley's (KISS) 1978 album. "Goodbye" features an additional guest appearance by Bob Kulick, who was also the guitarist on the song's original version. Artwork by Carl-André Beckston and mastering by Mike Lind.

EPYSODE is an exceptional project, led by Samuel Arkan. This gathering of musicians and vocalists from bands like Symphony X, Evergrey, Pain Of Salvation, Triosphere and many more results in a powerful, dark, melodic piece of first-class Progressive Power Metal.
In the song „The Arch“, which is available as a lyric video now, EVERGREY frontman Tom S. Englund takes over the vocal part.

This new melodic rock/AOR band, SPARKLANDS, originate from the Netherlands, and "Tomocyclus" is their debut album. The mastermind behind T.C.C. is guitarist/composer Rob Wylde who, also collaborates with the legendary glam band of Tigertailz. Rob is back to Heavy Paradise to share with us a lot of interesting things about T.C.C., Tigertailz and his future plans. Enjoy!

Heavy Paradise : Hi, Rob, and welcome back to Heavy Paradise for this interview! Since our last talk, a lot of things have happened in Rob Wylde’s life. A new record with T.C.C. but also a new work, EP, with the legendary Tigertailz! You must be a very busy person lately Rob!

Rob Wylde : Yeah I certainly am but I like to keep busy, keeps me out of trouble!

Heavy Paradise : So, let’s start with the new Teenage Casket Company’s record “Still Standing”. I have to say that I really enjoyed every single minute of it! in my ears, it sounds like a modern version of Poison’s or even Every Mother’s Nightmare release which is a very good thing. How do you describe your sound Rob?

Rob Wylde : Well it's no secret that we're huge fans of late 80's American Rock. Those influences will always be there, but we're also massive fans of power pop and straight ahead pop music. I like to think that we take the best elements of all those genres, throw them in a blender and TCC's sound is the end result. So many bands who are influenced by the 1980's thing still sound like it's 1988 and that's the last thing we want. We tip the hat to that genre but I think our sound is fresh, vibrant and relevant for 2013.

On 7th June 2013, Europe took the stage in their home country Sweden for a special occasion: celebrating 30 years of rock music. The Swedish rock band celebrated this event together with 30,000 fans at the prestigious Sweden Rock Festival. Described as a greatest hits extravaganza, Europe's headline festival performance also displayed it’s more soulful moments, especially when the band sat down to perform an emotional acoustic set. This segment of the concert gave the massive festival atmosphere an intimate club feeling before Europe returned to perform the hard rock anthems their fans have grown to love and cherish.

Malik & Pettite is a brand new band and this is their debut 4 track-EP album. Steve Malik and Loz Pettite first met in a club in Coventry and soon began writing and performing songs together. Darkyra Black, the musical vision of one woman, a vision made reality with the completion of some of europe's best musicians. For those not familiar with Darkyra Black, she takes the best parts of female fronted symphonic metal and bends it to her will with her beautiful soaring melodies. Upon first listen you may liken it to industry greats such as Within Temptation or even Tarja (ex-Nightwish) but in doing so you wouldn't even come close. Very few women in the industry are able to weave music in such as way as Darkyra and make music her own muse.
Latest video clip "Tears By Candlelight" proved just that when it took over Youtube with over 30000 views in less than a week. Unfortunately, resulting in an A-typical corporate response to flag it and remove the video. Still, the video has been reintroduced to demonstrate the untapped talent that Darkyra demonstrates and melodies that she bends to her own style.

TRIPHON JOINS THE KILLSHOT MGMT RANKS

TRIPHON has signed on with Australian based Management agency KILLSHOT MGMT for all Worldwide Bookings. This comes in anticipation of their worldwide tour support of their upcoming sophomore album. JOE GRUSHECKY SET TO ISSUE NEW STUDIO ALBUM, 'SOMEWHERE EAST OF EDEN' AND CONFIRMS APPEARANCES

JOE GRUSHECKY SET TO ISSUE NEW STUDIO ALBUM, 'SOMEWHERE EAST OF EDEN' AND CONFIRMS APPEARANCES

It was reported that several months ago, critically acclaimed singer/songwriter Joe Grushecky was seeking aid from fans to help fund the creation of his next studio album. The fans have done their part and so has Grushecky, as his 17^th solo effort overall, 'Somewhere East of Eden,' is set for release on October 8th, via Schoolhouse Records and distributed by Warner Bros Records Nashville. The album was recorded just across the Pennsylvania state line in Weirton, West Virginia (Grushecky is based in Pittsburgh) at long time co-producer Rick Witkowski’s Studio L.

Immediately, it becomes clear that Grushecky can still offer up inspired and instantly memorable rock n' roll, as evidenced by such 'Somewhere East of Eden' standout as the blues rockers "I Can Hear the Devil Knocking" (a song which WDVE FM in Pittsburgh is going to officially add) and "John the Revelator," as well as the classic soul sounds of "Save the Last Dance for Me." And lyrically, Grushecky doesn't disappoint either, as the album’s thought-provoking title track is about an Iraq war veteran and the problems he faces in returning home and trying to keep the “monkey on his back” from dragging him down.

Valkyrja, the seventh full-length album from Týr, will be released on September 17th in North America, and September 13th/16th in Europe/UK.

The band´s new album, "The Fiction Maze", will be released late 2013/early 2014. Words from the band: So finally, we're back! A journey that began some five years ago has finally come to the end of the line. A lot of hard work was put into creating the perfect mix of everything we've done so far, expanded on the Persuader sound while keeping the core that is the band; heavy riffing, strong melodies, pounding rythms and soaring vocals, combined with a crushing production.
