Revolution Saints' first three records, 'Revolution Saints', 'Light In The Dark', and 'Rise' show Deen collaborate with bassist/vocalist Jack Blades (Night Ranger) and guitarist Doug Aldrich (ex-Whitesnake, DIO, Burning Rain, Bad Moon Rising). Produced by the mighty Alessandro Del Vecchio, those three albums brought back the classic melodic rock style that thrilled and delighted legions of fans in the ‘80s and ‘90s and still does today!
After the very first spin of this new opus, I have to say that I'm speachless; to be honest I was sure of what to expect from these musicians! The vocals of
Deen Castronovo are simply amazing, out of this world! The rhythm section is tight, solid as a rock and when you have a guitarist in your band such as
Hoekstra, then you know what to expect; edgy and sharp riffs, beautiful and inspired solos and, in general, an extraordinary guitar work.
From start to finish, this album is a hymn to to the melodic rock scene with highlight after highlight that at the end of the day it will leave you hungry for more. The songs are all well-crafted, well-produced, well-written with tons of big melodies included, great arrangements, clever hooks and choruses enough to make you sing-a-long for days. Even if we are in early 2024 REVOLUTION SAINTS with this new opus achieve to release a masterpiece of an album that will be included in any of this year's best of lists. Killer and high-quality stuff!
