REVIEW : ARCTIC RAIN, Unity (Frontiers Music s.r.l. Release: 27 January 2023)

Back in 2020 a new band called ARCTIC RAIN saw the light of day and with its debut entitled "The One" set the standarts too high. Nowadays and after almost two years, ARCTIC RAIN is back in business with album number two entitled "Unity".

The new opus is going to be released through Frontiers Music this January. With a new keyboardist on board Kaspar Dahlqvist and also a new drummer Richard Tonyson, "Unity" sees Arctic Rain building upon and surpassing their musical goals that they set with their debut album, "The One".

The new record continues to deliver strong, up-beat and heavy-hittin' songs in the vain of many bands of the mid 80's, early 90's, with strong emphasis on big melodies, edgy guitars and powerful performances. The hooks and choruses are built-up to sing-a-long and overall "Unity" can be desribed as a strong release that the sure thing is that will attract many fans of the classic Euro melodic heavy rock sound. The production is solid and the highlights are many out of the new effort!!

If I had to choose some tracks out of "UNITY", those would be for sure "Laughing In The Rain", "Out Of Time", "Kings Of The Radio", "Time For A Miracle", "One World" and "Fire In My Eyes" !!! Of course that dosen't mean that the others are average or bad, but those tracks are all excellent in my humble opinion and are all filled with big hooks, in-your-face vocals and edgy guitars!!

It seems that 2023 kicks-off with a really solid record that can't be missed by any fan of this genre! Well done!
