REVIEW : 17 Crash --- Hit The Prey (April 2018, Volcano Records)
The story of this sleaze hard rock band started back in 2011 in Italy. 17 Crash is a band that is heavenly influenced by the late 80's U.S. sleaze melodic hard rock scene and their aim is to bring back this sound big and loud. The debut, "Reading Your Dirty Minds", was released in 2015 through Demon Doll Records and left a promise for bigger things in the near future.

REVIEW : ENUFF Z'NUFF / Clowns Lounge (2016)
ENUFF Z'NUFF was always a love or hate thing! For me, this band was always a nice and tight band with some excellent releases. Its sound was movin' between pop rock and glam rock with clever hooks and choruses and strong melodies. Nowadays, thanks to Frontiers Records, we have in our hands a brand new album with some old rarities that have been partially reworked and re-recorded by the band. This exceptional collection, also, features a guest appearance from the late Jani Lane (of Warrant) as well as an appearance from James Young of Styx on “The Devil Of Shakespeare”.

REVIEW : LIPSTICK / Lipstick (2015, re-release with 4-bonus tracks)
Lipstick is a glam rock band based in Nashville, TN. "Lipstick", the band's debut record was originally released in 2014 and nowadays Lipstick is re-releasing this one in a deluxe-edition plus 4 bonus tracks. Imagine early POISON (the first couple of albums) with a more edgy-punk vibe and there you have a very good band with a bunch of some killer tracks.

CYANIDE 4 / EVERY DAY IS A MASQUERADE (2012)
CYANIDE 4 is a glam/sleaze band hailing from Greece. "Every Day Is A Masquerade" is their debut album and, believe me, it rocks big time! Cyanide 4 has opened for Crashdiet two years ago and they made a huge impact with their attitude, songs and their tight musicianship!! They are heavenly influenced from the 80's U.S. glam scene but, also, from the new generation of sleaze heavy metal gerne.

Bastardz / No Ass No Pass (2005)
Killer cd cover! Cool ass-kickin' sleaze music with attitude. Bastardz is a Brazilian glam/sleaze act which always played in Sao Paulo underground scene for a long time. Their music is up-tempo and their idols must have been Motley Crue, Poison, Nasty Idols and many more from that era. "Pills" is a cool opener with some nice guitar riffs while "Grab Her By The Tail" didn't grabbed me from the first listening, an average one! "Wasted Generation" is the big moment here, it has big loud guitars, great hooks and cool lyrics. A damn good tune! "Spider Sarah" rocks in a pretty good way and "Alleycat Spoiled Brat" looks like a lost Faster Pussycat track. All in all this is a very good EP from this band and a good discovery for the glam/sleaze fans. Well done.

Motley Crue / Theatre Of Pain (1985)
A much more different album than their previous two releases but an overall good one. A more straight forward hard-rock,with a hint of blues as well, sound in here with some really standout moments. Maybe 'Theatre Of Pain' considered to be the weakest album of Motley Crue but for me is another one good record from the bad boys of Rock N' Roll. Ok, the quartet of Nikki. Neil, Mars and Tommy were not the high skilled musicians of their gerne but for sure they were playing with passion. They had it all to become a huge name and they achieved that. Back to the review....
The album begins with the very underrated tune of 'City Boy Blues'. A hard rockin track with some bluesy touches and a very good chorus line. ' Smokin' in the Boys Room' was one of the biggest hits in the Crue discography. A cover song (Brownsville Station), but that didn't stoped the Crue to take it and make this a future classic! "Louder Than Hell' and 'Keep Your Eye on The Money' are both very good heavy rockers with catchy choruses. 'Home Sweet Home' = huge success. An excellent track with an inspired melody and another one classic Motley song. 'Tonight (We Need a Lover)' is one of my favourite Crue tunes ever. The rest of the tracks are decent ones but nothing really breathtakin'. Overall this is a good hard rock album.

Steel Panther / Feel The Steel (2009)
BBC wrote : "Lock up your daughters, break out your hairspray, LA's premier metal band are back with a debut album that's been 20 years in the making! or so the story goes. In fact, Steel Panther are an 80s glam metal tribute band whose genius look and lyrics tower above anything seen before in the world of music parody."
Excactly. Steel Panther is a glam/heavy band with one purpose only: to entertain us! I really don't care about their childish lyrics or their image, but I do care about the energy they are releasing! If only the lyrics were more serious, then probably this album was a much better effort overall. But lets talk about the music here. So, the musicianship is excellent, the production is big with a really 'fat' sound overall, the choruses are all catchy and very enjoyable and the singer has a strong and 'sleazy' voice. All in all, this is a very interesting release in the vain of the glory 80's glam & sleaze dayz of the great Motley Crue, Poison, Tigertailz e.t.c., played with passion and full of great anthemic tunes, cool guitar work and most of all FUN !!!Isn't that enough?

Tigertailz / Bezerk (1990)
I was impressed by this release when I first heard it! "Bezerk" released in 1990 and it was, and still is, one of the finest glam metal albums of that era. Their sound was heavier than in comparison with the bands from United States. Tigertailz took the best elements from bands such as Motley Crue and Poison with a heavy- ballsy sound and they've created their own unique sound of "Bezerk"!!! Big choruses, heavy in-your-face guitars (that sometimes reminds a heavy metal group not a glam band), a real big production and some cool, raw and sleaze vocals, mixed with the perfect bad attitude image and there you have Tigertailz's "Bezerk".
Highlights here are the anthemic "Love Bomb Baby " with a huge chorus, the fast and heavy "Call of the Wild ", "Heaven" and "I Can Fight Dirty Too ". All in all this is a huge glam-metal album and a definately must have! HeavyParadise's Rating:9/10

Erotic Suicide / Abusement Park (1993)
This is another one rare and absolute brilliant glam/sleaze release. Erotic Suicide hailed from Oklahoma, U.S. and this is their debut album released in 1993. What we have here is an 9 track album full of attitude, catchy choruses, loud guitars and with an overall 80's L.A. feeling. I discovered this band back in 1993 and I 've searched immediately for a copy of this effort. My copy was sent straight from the band (thanx to DD Rose) and I was surprised of how good and talented this band was. Somewhere between Faster Pussycat , Motley Crue and Poison (earlier) this album is very enjoyable from start to finish. So, if you are into this gerne (glam and sleaze) all you have to do is to search for this album and buy it!!

Wig Wam / Non Stop Rock N Roll (2010)
Anthemic and bombastic Rock N' Roll with 'balls'!!! I can't find any other words to describe the new effort of Wig Wam! Heavier than ever but with the feel-good party mood still here the new album is ready to break down the walls. From the great opener "Do Ya Wanna Taste It " to the last bonus track of the album "Gotta Get It On", this album rocks big time. Rock N' Roll with attitude! Taste it....

Poison / Open Up and Say...Ahh! (1988)
After the huge success of their debut album, Poison are back with the album "Open Up and Say...Ahh!". Compared to the punky/glam styling of the debut, "Open Up and Say Ahh!" is more straight forward hard rock with party anthems such as "Nothin' but a Good Time " , "Look But You Can't Touch " and the cover "Your Mama Don't Dance ". Other highlights here are the lush "Fallen Angel " and the typical Poison ballad "Every Rose Has Its Thorn " which was a huge 'hit' for the band. All in all another one big hit for Poison, and a great hard rockin' feel-good record!

Poison / Look What the Cat Dragged In (1986)
Poison was formed in 1983 under the name Paris and consisted of lead vocalist Bret Michaels, guitarist Matt Smith, bassist Bobby Dall, and drummer Rikki Rockett. Moving to Los Angeles on March 6, 1984, they started playing big clubs and several other clubs. The name Poison was picked by the band after seeing Spinal Tap.During this period, Poison's manager negotiated a deal under which the West Hollywood club, The Troubador, would pay for shows. At this time, Smith left the band to return home to Pennsylvania, which led to an audition session that was won by C.C. DeVille.Their debut album, Look What the Cat Dragged In, was released August 2, 1986. This album is a classic of that gerne of Glam/Hair metal. The music? Fun, sex, party all night and again sex!! Tons of hair spray, lipstick and glamy clothes and of course attitude. Some catchy as hell songs, a couple of video clips in the MTV were enough to made Poison a new shining star in the U.S. For me this album has a special place in my heart. An ass-kickin' album from Poison and a must have!!!!

Crashdiet / Rest In Sleaze (2005)
One of the best glam/sleaze records of the 00's .Powerfull shoaring vocals, raw in-your-face guitars, a very good production, lots of hair spray and lipsticks and attitude!!!! All these plus the influences from the "Godfathers" of glam Motley Crue,Tigertailz ,Shotgun Messiah and other big names of the 80's sleaze-glam era ,and there you have a hell of an album that can easily stand perfect beside the releases of all those groups that I mention above.
