REVIEW : JOHNNY V BAND --- Love Power (2019)

JOHNNY V BAND is a rock/blues band that hailed from Thessaloniki, Greece. Former of Johnny V Band is the guitarist/composer/singer John Vatzolas who is a well-known musician in his hometown. Vatzolas has played for many years with local bands in many gigs and he, also, appeared in some TV shows. 

REVIEW : SONS OF REVOLUTION -- s/t (2017)

Sons of Revolution is a new four-piece rock blues band that was formed in 2013, in Italy, and consists of Mario Alessiani (guitar), Paolo Ceritano (voice), Davide Coccagna (bass) and Romolo Di Gregorio (drums).

REVIEW : BLACK PAISLEY - Late Bloomer (2017)

Black Paisley is a band that was formed back in 1998 as a cover band with a different name back then (StephMetal). It played several gigs in the UK, Netherlands, Sweden and Norway and built up a strong reputation around its name. For many years, the band wrote its own songs and it was a dream to release a full-length record.

REVIEW : Stefan Berggren – Stranger In A Strangeland (2016)

Stefan Berggren is one of Sweden's best-known musicians. In his over 30-year career, Stefan participated in many bands/projects such as Snakes In Paradise, M3, Company Of Snakes, Razorback and Berggren Kerslake Band and he, also, shared the stage with many legends like Whitesnake, Deep Purple and Brian May Band to name a few.

REVIEW : IRON BRIDGE BAND / Against The Grain (2016)

Iron Bridge Band after its solid debut release, "Road Not Taken", is back with its second album with the title "Against The Grain". Once again, the vocals are led by Chandler Mogel (Outloud, Khaos, ex-Talon) and, to be honest, here he is doin' a damn fine job! His soulful and crystal clear voice brings the band to a higher level.

REVIEW : Federal Charm / Across The Divide (2015)

Federal Charm is a newbie in the melodic rock/blues rock scene and their goal with the brand new "Across The Divide" is to shake the scene a bit with their solid classic rock sound. Based on bands such as Led Zeppelin and Allman Brothers, Federal Charm rich their sound with a more updated sound and the result is very very attractive.

CROWSAW / Smoke & Feathers (2014)

Started in ’12 by Rob Lomax originally as a cover band Crow-saw soon found their roots changing to Rock/Blues, writing original songs which soon gained them a lot of attention. In October 2013, Crowsaw made it to the final of the Highway to Hell competition and won against 19 other bands consequently winning a place at HRH Blues.

PREACHER / Signals (2014)

Preacher is a progressive rock band that hails from Ayrshire in Scotland and have an impressive list of accolades chief amongst them being they are the only unsigned band to headline an event at the ABC 1 O2 Glasgow Arena. The "Signals" album is a tour de force of melodic/progressive rock telling the story of a visit from an extra-terrestrial higher order of beings. Our guardians have been observing Earth for a long time and now they feel it is time to arbitrate.

Tyla J. Pallas / Devils Supper (2013)

Tyla is well-known for his tenure with the legendary The Dogs D 'Amour who the golden days of hard rock released some really good albums and enjoyed success, albeit small, with songs like "How Come It Never Rains "," Trail Of Tears "and" Satellite Kid ".

TOM KEIFER / THE WAY LIFE GOES (2013)

For all the fans of the late 80's, early 90's, hard rock sound Tom Keifer was the lead singer of the legendary blues based hard rock band Cinderella. With his main band, Keifer released some really excellent stuff, toured around the world and achieved to build a strong reputation around his name. But 'cause of the so called 'grunge' revolution Cinderella split up and its members took their own way.

LITTLE CAESAR / AMERICAN DREAM (2012)

I always considered Little Caesar a very underated band. These guys had, and have, plenty of talent. Their self-titled effort is a classic one with very good songs, lots of attitude and a very powerfull vocalist!! Long hair, tattoos, superb guitar work and a biker image were the indigrants of Little Caesar.

Gary Moore / The Best Of The Blues (2002)

Well this is a best of Gary Moore's blues period. The first cd set is a collection of Moore's high-octane early-90s blues material. Every song here is a true gem , from the cover of Jimmy Rogers' "Walking By Myself", the huge success of "Still Got The Blues" which is a song that can be easily recognizable from the first notes, "Jumpin' At Shadows" , "Stop Messin' Around" e.t.c. Also in some of the songs we find some guests such as Albert King, B.B. King, and Albert Collins.

The second cd is actually a 77-minute live album , a really good one. Overall a pretty good compilation and a very good live album.

Gary Moore / Blues Alive (1993)

An absolute perfect, breathtakin', amazing live record from Mr. Moore! From the first notes that you hear, this album takes and brings you to the forefront of the audience and Moore's guitar playin' makes you want some mo(o)re!! Whatever this man is involved with , from hard rock to blues, he is perfect! I think that it's meanless to write something more about Gary Moore , because Moore has been a huge influence for a lot of guitar players out there and he has earned the respect of every music fan. The set list is mostly from his blues-dayz and the performances are great. Overall a great live record!!

Gary Moore / Back to the Blues

Back to Business for Gary Moore. It is great to see that this album is a great comeback to the glory blues/rock days of "Still Got..." and "After Hours". Maybe he is not going to return to his first albums of  hard rock sound but I think that Gary's fans are satisfied with this kinda albums. Although not as good as the above albums but for sure a great record with some real cool tracks in it."Enough of the blues" is an absolute killer with a devilishly deceiving intro which quickly changes into a monster axe attack,absolutely superb!Also the BB King cover "You Upset Me Baby" which Gary does a fantastic job!"Cold Black Night" has a nice lyric and a good riff. "Picture of the Moon" is the 6th track and is penned by Moore, similar to Still Got The Blues and Parisian Walkways. It is a nice ballad, laid back, romantic song. Overall a very good back to the blues/rock stuff from Mr. Moore. 8/10

Gary Moore / After Hours (1992)

This is an outstandig release from one of the best guitar players in  the rock world.I have listened to this album over and over since I bought the original in 1992. Gary Moore is an artist, no doubt about that. He has feeling when he is playing the six-string! The songs of this effort are full of emotions, from the heavy riff of the opener track "Cold Day in Hell " ,the fantastic blues-rock "Since I Met You Baby" with the "king" B.B. King, "Blues Is Alright " with another one "legend" Albert Collins, the emotional "Separate Ways " and "Nothing's the Same ". There is no need to write for every song here separately because every single tune in this record is amazing! So, fans of high quality blues/rock or Gary Moore.....BUY THIS ALBUM! A MUST HAVE FOR YOUR COLLECTION! 10/10

After his successfuly hard rock albums, this is Gary Moore's turn to the blues.Whatever people may say, about Moore's turning to blues,this is a blues album, well played with the skill of a rock guitarist.He plays a tribute to Albert King on 'King Of The Blues', and a tribute to SRV on 'Texas Strut'. He even plays with the famous Alberts, King and Collins, and absolutely massacres both of them. Moore plays with feel, but also with unbelievable techinalc skill, and it will inspire any guitarist out there. A MUST FOR EVERYONE!!! 10/10
