REVIEW : Re-Machined, Wheels Of Time (Pride & Joy Music, 21.02.2020 )

Re-Machined is a band that recalls the classic heavy metal/hard rock sound of the mid-80's and bands such as earlier Bonfire, U.D.O., Demon and Scorpions. With their debut EP a couple of years back, the band achieved to make some noise around its name to the underground metal scene.

REVIEW : SPIRITS OF FIRE --- SPIRITS OF FIRE (Frontiers Music s.r.l. Release: 22 February 2019)

Frontiers Music s.r.l. is well-known for its amazing n' melodic rock/hard rock releases. Over the years this label has released some excellent and classic records, no doubt 'bout that. Another strong point of this label is also the heavier stuff. Spirits Of Fire is Frontiers' newest project and the sure thing is that will bring a wide smile upon the face of every metal-head out there.

REVIEW : Herman Frank ---- Fight The Fear (AFM Records Release: 8 February 2019)

Herman Frank is a true metal soldier! From his early days with metal legends of ACCEPT to his VICTORY days but, also, with his solo works, Herman Frank stays true to his metal roots. With the first three albums "Loyal To None", "Right In The Guts" and "The Devils Ride Out", Frank delivered some excellent and metal-to-the-bone stuff, no doubt bout that. 

REVIEW : PAIN CITY --- KEEP IT REAL (2019)

Pain City is a Norwegian heavy rock band and this year is about to release its brand new opus, the second one, with the title "Keep It Real". The band's debut, "When Life Hits You", saw the light of day the last year. Right away after the release of the debut, Pain City started to play live but, also, started the recordings of new music.

REVIEW : STYGIAN FAIR --- INTO THE COVEN (EP, 2017)

Stygian Fair is a new metal band from Sweden and "Into The Coven" is their brand new EP. The band consists of  Pontus Akerlund on vocals, Emil Holmqvist on guitars, P-O Jonsson on drums and Anders Hedman on bass.

REVIEW : Badmotorfinger / Heroes (2016)

Badmotorfinger is a heavy band and "Heroes" is its brand new EP. Originally, formed back in 2006 as a cover band only,  Badmotorfinger started to compose its own songs in 2011 with the release of the promo cd "BadMotorFinger".

REVIEW : bastian / Among My Giants (2015)

Bastian is an Italian melodic hard rock/metal band that was formed in Sicily in 2010. The mastermind behind this band is the guitarist/songwriter Sebastiano Conti. "Among My Giants" is Bastian's debut album and features a top class list of guest musicians such as Mark Boals and Mike Vescera on vocals, John Macaluso, Vinny Appice and Thomas Lang at the drums.

REVIEW : Reverence / Gods Of War (2015)

In my review for REVERENCE's album "When Darkness Calls", back in 2012, I wrote that "Emotions, great arrangements, powerful performances, a tight musicianship, killer tracks and superb guitar work all these plus an 80's feeling and there you have one of the best metal records of this year!!". Yes, that was, and still is a damn fine classic metal album all the way and, to be honest, I was looking forward to the band's follow-up record.

The razor heavy rock band of Broken Teeth, that features legendary vocalist Jason McMaster, is back with the brand new album which is entitled "Bulldozer". The new record features, also, two cover tracks, 'Lightning Strikes' (Aerosmith) and 'The Hammer'(Motorhead).

REVIEW : Maxxxwell Carlisle / Visions of Speed and Thunder (Compilation) – 2015

The amazing shred guitarist and competitive bodybuilder Maxxxwell Carlisle is back in music business with his newest album which is entitled "Visions of Speed and Thunder". The new record features tracks from each of his previous releases, fully re-mixed and re-mastered, plus several brand new tracks. The album features guest appearances by guitarist Michael Angelo Batio and Nita Strauss, electric cellist Tina Guo and Lords of the Trident vocalist Fang VonWrathenstein.

REVIEW : HOLLOW HAZE / Memories Of An Ancient Time (2015)

Allow me to start this review by saying that I'm a huge fan of Hollow Haze's "Poison In Black" album! Till that record, I have never heard anything from this band; and till now this album is in a regular base in my cd player and it is among my favorite releases from this genre (melodic power metal).

REVIEW : SNAKEYES / Ultimate Sin (2015)

SnakeyeS, is a project that started by Jose Pineda, Justi Bala and Carlos Delgado (from the Spanish heavy metal band SPHINX) and Romanian singer Cosmin Aionita (9.7 RICHTER). The band released its debut E.P. in Nov. 2013 and got an awesome feedback from all international reviews. REVIEW : Scanner / The Judgement (2015)

"The Judgement" is already the sixth official release by this German power/speed metal act and the first one with vocalist Efthimios Ioannidis. Except of the new shouter, Scanner consists of Axel A.J. Julius on guitars, Andreas Zeidler on guitars, Jonathan Sell on bass, Patrick Klose on drums and on studio Dirk Biesgen (additional keys) & Franz Eicberger (on drums).

BLOODBOUND / Stormborn (2014)

Whooa, this is what I call heavy 'to the bone' metal stuff! And even though I'm not a big fan of this band, this record grabbed me at once and left me hungry for more! For sure, Bloodbound knows how to deliver a traditional metal album! "Stormborn" is the band's sixth, already, official release and to be honest, their best to date!

METAL MACHINE / Free Nation (2014)

Be careful Judas Priest fans from all over the world; METAL MACHINE is here to make some noise! Metal Machine is a new heavy metal band that reviles the classic Judas Priest sound with a fresh air and this is the debut album that will make Rob Halford very proud!

LORDI / Scare Force One (2014)

The heavy metal 'monsters' LORDI are back with their brand new album which is entitled "Scare Force One". The band's latest release, "To Beast Or Not To Beast", was a damn fine platter that I enjoyed it a lot. Nowadays, Mr. Lordi and his crew are back once again to deliver another solid effort that will please every single fan of this band.

CHAINFIST / Scarred (2014)

CHAINFIST is a five-piece Danish metal band that originally ws formed in 2007 and consists of ex-members of Panzerchrist, Frozen Sun and Infernal Death. In September 2010, it has released their first full-length album “Black Out Sunday” which was praised by several Danish metal-sites. Since then, the band has been playing on various stages in Denmark, building up a solid live-reputation with top-marks from the critics.

HELL'S CHOPPER / First Ride (2014)

Hell's Chopper is a newbie in the metal scene. The band was originally formed in 2007 when Paolo De Leonardis, Patrick Pavesi and Jacopo Longhi decided that was time to create a band based on their influences and bands such as Thin Lizzy, Metallica and Judas Priest. They wanted also to put their own identity to their music and after several line-up changes they achieved to release the first official debut 4 track-EP in 2010.
