REVIEW : NEVENA, Nevena (Frontiers Music s.r.l. Release: 9 December 2022)

Serbian Nevena Djordjevic is the stunning lead vocalist of the melodic hard rock act of The Big Deal. Nevena Dordevic is a vocalist, songwriter, pianist and educator well-known in her home country for her diversity in musical styles including musical theater, jazz, pop, and rock. 

Born and raised in Serbia, Nevena started her musical education at the age of nine with piano and music theory lessons. As her childhood continued, she performed and won various music competitions. While still in high school, Nevena rose to fame as a performer and finalist on the first season of "First Voice of Serbia". Since then, she’s been performing in front of tens of thousands of people all over Serbia and Europe.

Nowadays, Nevena presents her debut opus that is going to be released through Frontiers Music. The well-known musician Michael Palace (Kryptonite, PALACE) is responsible for the production here as also for some backing vocals and for the music contibution as well. 

The music here is pure delightful, up-beat with a strong dose of some excellent pop-melodic rock pinch that along with Nevena's soulful voice rockets the final result to a higher level. 

Highlights? I think that every little song in Nevena's debut is just brilliant, well-performed and at the end of the day you are going to whistle it again and again. The fantastic groovier "Too Late", the edgier "Bulletproof", "Winter's Block", "You Two", "Brand New Heart" and "Outrageous" are some of the highlights out of Neveba's debut! 

A simply great debut opus by Nevena Djordjevic that contains well-crafted, well-performed and well-composed music that is a must have for every fan of the pop-melodic rock scene!!
