SWEDISH EROTICA / BLINDMAN'S JUSTICE (1995)

This is a very interesting release! Swedish Erotica were formed back in the late 80's and they released a huge record, "Swedish Erotica", with Mats Leven on lead vocals. The songs that were for their second album were released much later by MTM Music as "Too Daze Gone" in 2005. The sound of their debut was a pure melodic hard rock stuff with some sleazier U.S. elements. The sound of "Blindman's Justice" is much heavier and in some parts reminds of Motley Crue's self-titled album with John Corabi on lead vocals! The voice of Andres Moller is rough and melodic, imagine the perfect mix of Mats Leven and John Corabi.

As I said, the sound here is heavier, the songs are all well-written and the performances are just great! The riffs are all in-your-face without loosing any of the melodies of their debut! Songs such as "White Sister", "Heaven, Hell or Hollywood", "King of Pain" and "Satisfied" are all great heavy rockin' tunes that in some parts reminds me of the Spread Eagle and Motley Crue's self-titled release. "Sweetest of Sins" is a monsterous ballad! An emotional track which features some really inspired melody and Moller's smooth performance. A huge track! The rest of the tracks are all very good too with "Show a Little Lace" to be another highlight here! A couple of average tracks don't bother me at all!

All in all, this is another great Swedish Erotica release. The new vocalist does an excellent job here and the rest of the band seems tighter than ever. A great band with three excellent releases and it's too bad that Swedish Erotica didn't make it to become huge!
