TREAT / MUSCLE IN MOTION (2001)

This is a brilliant release! The fact with this album is that "Muscle In Motion" is a kinda of demos/unreleashed stuff that even the band doesn't include in its official discography! Another strange thing is that the cover artwork has been taken from Treat's  "Dreamhunter" album!!! The lead vocals here are from the mighty Mats Leven (Y.J.Malmsteen, Dogface, Swedish Erotica e.t.c.) and the result is almost perfect!

"Muscle In Motion" is a well-crafted melodic rock album with some amazing tunes and great performances by Mats Leven. The album starts with the excellent "You Won't See Me Cryin''. A very emotional hard mid-tempo track with a catchy chorus line and a melody that sticks in your mind for days! "Waiting to Get Even" is another stunning song. It has class, a huge melody and everything that every fan could ask from a melodic rock song! "Streets Cry Freedom" is a heavier one while "Every Little Girlie" has a more U.S. flavoured sound. "Better Off Without Your Love" is a monster track and one of my favourite from this album. The rest of the songs are all well-played even if the production lacks a bit!

All in all, this is an excellent album that every fan of this band and, of course, Mats Leven's should own.
