Fast forward to 2020, Skagarack got some gigs offered which went really great and the fans loved it!!! It was just unbelievable how well those old songs still sit deep inside the fans! When the group started rehearsing for the gigs, it didn’t take long before it sounded pretty much exactly like it did back then. So this obviously got them inspired, and Torben Schmidt started writing new songs.
So, what we have here is the brand new album by Skagarack and believe me it will blow you out!! These guys achieve to gather all the magic of their earlier days along with a more mature and updated sound and the result is simply outstandig! Apart from Torben Schmidt on vocals, the band consists of Jan Petersen (Guitars), Dennis Pedersen on drums, Lars Daugaard, and Mattias Eklundh.
"Give It" kicks-off the new album in such an impressive way; a classic melodic hard rock song with a big and very AOR-ish chorus and some ultra melodic guitars that will send you to heaven and back again! Love it! The more rockin' "A Cool Damn Car" is just cool while the 70's influenced "Talkin' Bout Jesus" is just great. "Cool To Be Old School", the fantastic bluesy "Where Have You Been" and "So Right" are three more highlights out of this new record.
I'm really glad that SKAGARACK is back in business again! This is an overall great record full of amazing and heartful tracks by a bunch of musicians that knows exactly how to write and perfrom quality and ballsy old-school hard rock music!
