In 2006, the time has come for the first 3-track EP “Rising Wings”. The second 5-track EP "Higher" followed in 2008. Both releases received a positive feedback from both fans and music press. Nowdays it's time for the band's debut full-length opus entitled "REACH". The new record is going to be released through Pride & Joy Music this September.
Apart from Florian Bauer on vocals, guitars, bass and keyboards, the band consists of Franz Raßhofer (Joe Leila), Falco Münch (Reload), Markus Herzinger (2nd East) and Bobby Santiago (Bloodwork) on drums. “Reach” was produced by Florian Bauer with Chris Lausmann (Bonfire, Voices Of Rock) co-producing and mixing the album at MS Production Studio.
After the very first spin of "Reach", I have to say that I enjoyed it a lot!!! It's a very old-fashioned melodic hard rock record with tons of melodies, shredding guitars and some really cool solos, big choruses and a very late 80's feeling in it! Sometimes the songs reminded me of early Bonfire or Casanova and sometimes it's moving to some more U.S. Hair Metal/Hard Rock paths!!! The voice of Bauer is rough, crispy and gives to the final result a 'dirty' sound! Highlights out of "Reach" are the up-beat "Hey You", the Hair Metal anthem of "Whatever It Takes", "Ride On", the fantastic and ultra catchy tune of "Reach The Sky", "Wild And Free" and the killer "Times Of Rain"!!
One of the biggest surprises of 2023 so far! Rising Wings' debut "Reach" is a damn killer and very old-fashioned effort that the sure thing is that will put a big and wide smile upon the face of every fan of the classic Hard Rock/Hair Metal era!!! Highy recommended!!!
