REVIEW : FM --- The Italian Job (Frontiers Music s.r.l. Release: 22 February 2019)

What can you say about these Brit melodic rock legends? FM was, for those who love this particular scene, and still remains one of the best acts that came out of this scene. With already ten superb records, I think there is not a single bad album, FM returns to discography with a brand new live opus through Frontiers Music s.r.l.

"The Italian Job" is entitled FM's brand new record and it was recorded in April 2018 on the band's live performance at Frontiers Rock Festival in Milan.

"The Italian Job" achieves to captivate the band's amazing live performance and shows that the band is in fine form. The live album contains 17 classic FM songs, 17 gems that will put a wide smile upon the face of each and every single fan of FM but, also, for every serious melodic rock fan out there.

As I mentioned above, the selection of the songs is the, possibly, best in my humble opinion as covers most of the 'hit' songs of FM. Regarding the sound and the overall performance here, I have to say that are, also, strong and make the final result a must purchase for every fan of this legendary band. Songs such as the old-time classics "Let Love Be The Leader", "Closer To Heaven", "Tough It Out" or my personal favorite "Bad Luck" are some of the oldies that you gonna enjoy again and again. Of course, the album includes some new tracks, from the band's latest recordings, like "Story Of My Life", "Killed By Love" and "Metropolis" just to name a few.

One of the finest live albums that I have the privilege of listen to and for damn sure, a damn enjoyable record from start to finish that captivates the story of FM!!!

Rating : 9,5/10
