“Last
Rock’N’Roll“ a brand new song from heavy doom
metallers EXORCISM, featuring Joe
‘Shredlord’ Stump (RAVEN LORD, HOLY
HELL) in their ranks, can be
streamed below. The track comes off the band’s new album,
“I Am God“, which was released
on April 25 via GoldenCore
Records/ZYX Music.
These
10 songs are classic doom-oriented heavy metal, featuring plodding tempos,
down-tuned guitar riffs, and melodic, commanding vocals in line with the
best Black Sabbath years from Ronnie James
Dio and a pinch of Tony Martin. Pure in execution,
"I Am God" succeeds because the ethic of classic heavy metal
and doom remain intact - proof that this style of music remains timeless,
relentless, and effective. (Eternal Terror)
Exorcism have
invoked the chunky groove, churning sludge and rocking buzz of bands
like Down, Floodgate and Corrosion of
Conformity and added it to the the
classic Sabbath inspired hippie, psychedelic stuff of
early Trouble. Lord can this man sing! (Angry
Metal Guy)
Exorcism aren’t Sabbath clones
by any means although, in my humble opinion, this absolutely pulverises the most
recent Ozzy fronted album ’13′, which was a
big disappointment for me! What Exorcism have done is construct
ten thumpingly good heavy metal songs that have all the required elements to
make this a huge release! (Brutiful Metal Radio)
EXORCISM‘s
lineup includes: Csaba Zvekan – Vocals (RAVEN LORD,
ZVEKAN, ex-KILLING MACHINE), Joe
Stump – Guitars (RAVEN LORD, HOLYHELL), Garry
King – Drums (ACHILLEA, ZVEKAN), Lucio
Manca – Bass (RAVEN LORD, ex-SOLID
VISION)
As
previously reported, EXORCISM will play DOKK’EM Open
Air, June 20, in Dokkum, Netherlands
with Vicious Rumors + Lord
Volture, June 22 in Tongeren, Belgium and
at MetalWar Fest, September 5 in Budapest,
Hungary.
EXORCISM’s
music is doomy and lush while it flows lava like down your spine, it features
dark-themed lyrics and melodies that could haunt you for life.
