REVIEW : CHANS -- Hard Won (2017)

Chans is a two-piece Rock/Alternative band that was formed in fall of 2016. The duo is recognized for their high-intense energy and live performances and from their previous/current bands(The Fallacy, Trench). They combined their inspirations and influences into writing hard hitting instrumentals but, also, singing harmonized heart-full alternative rock music.

To be honest, I've never heard anything about this duo till now that I received a promo of their new album, "Hard Won". I didn't know what to expect but I have to admit that I liked this 7-track album a lot. Their music is basically rock, strong influenced by the alternative scene and includes some really excellent melodies in it, very good arrangements, heart-full vocals, a melancholic vibe and good guitar parts.

As I said above, I like a lot Chans' new album. It's emotional with a melancholic, atmospheric, vibe in it and this duo has a lot of potentials and that's a thing that reflects in their music, in every single moment here.

It's a bit difficult to review each song separately 'cause all seven tracks are movin' into the same atmospheric-alternative rock paths and in general, it is an album that, for the open-minded music lovers, you have to listen to it carefully to find the something 'extra' that will make you either love it or hate it.
