SHINEDOWN / AMARYLLIS (2012)

For those who are into Shinedown's sound, this new album will put a smile upon their faces, for those who aren't familiar of who the hell is Shinedown, "Amaryllis" will turn them to discover a great modern hard rock  band!! Yes, "Amaryllis" has everything that a serious hard rock fan wants; it has attitude, a tight production and some really stunning tracks to blow you away!

And you can all see I'm thrilled by this new album! The album "Sound Of Madness" was a major success and the band's fan had higher expectations by this new album. And I can tell you that this new baby won't dissapoint any of the die-hards; instead it will attract a lot of new fans. This album is a real grower!! Everytime that I listen to it, I discover something new that pleases me; a new riff, a new melody, a new track that forces me to push the repeat button again and again!! The vocal performances from Brent Smith are top notch and that's a thing that takes the whole band to a higher level! In my humble opinion, Shinedown has nothing to be envy of bands such as Daughtry, Nickelback and Alter Bridge. From the opening track of "Adrenaline", which is a huge in-your-face rocker, you'll get the picture that Shinedown are here to offer us a great record! "Bully" is a great commercial tune and "Unity" is the album's highlight!! "Unity" could easily appeared in any of Daughtry or Nickelback's album!! The fact is that there is no filler in sight, every single track has something to offer!!

Bottom line is that this is a great cd! Melodies, aggressivity, power and harmonies are all perfectly balanced. For sure, this album will end up high in this year's final top lists but, also, this album will put Shinedown to the elit rock bands. Buy this album!!
