MIKE TRAMP / COBBLESTONE STREET (2013)

Mike Tramp is one of the most recognizable singers in the hard rock scene ever! His albums with the extraordinary White Lion or the heavier Freak Of Nature will always stand through time as classics. After Freak Of Nature, Tramp took a solo career with some of them good albums and some so and so but overall far away from his earlier works.

In 2001, he came back with the brilliant "Stand Your Ground" album. It was a very good rockin' effort with Tramp's amazing and heart-full vocal performances and well-crafted tracks. So, nowadays, the artist is back with his brand new release "Cobblestone Street" and believe me that it's about a wonderful record. According to Mike, this is the album that he always wanted to record! In cobblestone streets, Tramp grew up and as you can already assume this album is a kinda of autobiography or even better is a journey in Tramp's life through his own eyes. So, seat back, relax and enjoy this truly beautiful release.

In "Cobblestone Street", don't expect any big sing-a-long choruses ala White Lion or the heavier riffs that used to have during his Freak Of Nature days. This is an emotional laid-back music that travels you far away. Tracks like the opening "Cobblestone Street", "Caught In The Storm" "Revolution" and "Find Your Heart" are some of the best tunes that Tramp has ever recorded. Sweet melodies, great arrangements and, most of all, the passionate and emotional performances by this great artist!!

All in all, this is a great release all the way. Emotional, heart-full with plenty of melodies to die for, well-written with some amazing tunes in it! Forget White Lion's, Freak Of Nature's or even some of his earlier solo stuff sound; this is a classic rock release for every music fan out there.
