The new album combines perfectly the past and the future of this amazing band; it's melodic, it includes all the AOR-ish elements of the past but this time (as in the last “So Close To Heaven” release) the band put more edge and heaviness and the result is just fantastic! Alexander Strandell is doin' an amazing job, as always, regarding the vocals and the songs are top notch!
The first highlight comes with the ultra catchy and edgy "Supernatural"! Man, I just love this tune! It's melodic, heavier with some crunchier guitars and Strandell's huge vocal lines on top form! "Gone" is what I call the perfect AOR track; smooth and pure 80's melodic gem with a huge chorus line enough to sing-a-long for days. The edgier "Breakaway" is killer while in "Nothing Is Over" and "The Storm" we have two more amazingly played melodic AOR gems!! The arrangements, the performances and everything here flawed to perfection! "Another Life" is a more laid-back classic AOR tune with "The One" we have yet another winner out of this new opus.
A slick and fine melodic rock release that includes excellent songs, top-notch performances, a tigh musicianship and marks a brand new and amazing chapter in LIONVILLE's career!!
