GOLDEN SEXTION: '"The Silicon Age" artwork, track listing revealed

Italian hard rock/alternative metal band GOLDEN SEXTION has revealed the cover artwork and track listing for its debut album, "The Silicon Age", which will be released on April 2nd via logic(il)logic Records. The album will contain a concentrate of emotions and points of view of four boys who deeply believe in what they do, and want to invite you to join the GOLDEN SEXTION's family.

Raven Lord has revealed that former Stuka Squadron (Blaze Bayley, Chokehold, Sinocence, Arbitrater) drummer Lawrence “Larry” Paterson joining the band. Larry lives in UK and comes with tour experience. Larry will be handling the drum duties and completes Raven Lord’s line up.

Joe Matera is an Australian solo instrumental guitarist and he has already a 20-plus career in his shoulder! Matera was the lead guitarist in Australian rock band GEISHA (2007-2010) and founding lead axeman for classic rock group DOUBLE VISION (2003-2008). He has, also, been involved in several projects and recordings, one of which includes being guest guitar soloist on legendary UK metallers ATOMKRAFT's scorching cover of THIN LIZZY's "Cold Sweat".

Steven Tyler Says Aerosmith Is 'Back' on New Album

Steven Tyler can currently be seen each week on American Idol, but the very busy singer is still finding time for the day job that made him an icon. "We've been in the studio for the last month," Tyler says of Aerosmith. Tyler was in great spirits when Rolling Stone ran into him last night at Elton John's 20th annual Academy Award viewing party. He has good reason to be, with both Aerosmith and Idol going well. "Both things, we’re nailing them," he said.

AIRLESS with Izkar Producciones

The Melodic Hard Rock band AIRLESS has signed a deal with the Booking/Management agency Izkar Producciones.AIRLESS has played with bands such as Fair Warning Tyketto or Dare. The band is working in their fourth album to be released end of 2012.

SILENT OPERA / IMMORTAL BEAUTY (2012)

The Silent Opera project was born in 2007 with the intention to merge the symphonic metal music with visual art, scenical suits and theatrical athmospheres, obtaining original and impressive performances. The band consists of Marco Clari-Rain- (guitars/composer), Ambra Gerussi-Aria-(vocals), Loris Volcizzi-Shadow-(drums) and Andrea Pin-Kabal-(bass).

Michael Thompson is, nowadays, one of the leading guitar players of the world. He was awarded the "Distinguished Alumni" award from his alma mater Berklee College of Music to commemorate his contributions to the music industry. Berklee's program for the event noted that "he is widely regarded as being among the elite studio session players, and his amazing list of credits includes such prominent names as Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, 'N Sync, Toni Braxton, Phil Collins, Rod Stewart, the Scorpions, Vince Neil, Christina Aguilera, Michael Bolton, Mariah Carey, Bette Midler, Madonna, Babyface, En Vogue, Gloria Estefan, Stanley Clarke and Ricky Martin.

NEW BANGALORE CHOIR ALBUM

"Metaphor" is titled the brand new Bangalore Choir album. The band currently consists of original members David Reece (ex Accept, voc.), Curtis Mitchell (guit.), Danny Greenberg (b.), plus German guitarist/ producer Andy Susemihl and drummer Rene Letters. 'Metaphor' features some collaborative efforts as well. David turned to old friends Rikard Quist, who collaborated on the tracks 'Silhouettes on the Shade' and 'Scandinavian Rose' on the new release and also worked with lyricist Jon Wilde, with whom David had worked with on his Reece-Kronlund release.

In February 2009, when it was announced that Mr. Big, one of the 'highest quality' Hard Rock bands, were to re-unite with their original line-up, all the die-hards of the band and, generally of this scene, waited impatiently! Eric Martin, Paul Gilbert, Billy Sheehan and Pat Torpey, to celebrate the twentieth anniversary of their debut album announced their tour which began in June with performances in ten locations (including the Budokan).

The new SONATA ARCTICA record will be called "Stones Grow Her Name", and will be released on May, 18th. It was recorded in several studios in Finland, mixed at "Sonic Pump Studios" by Mikko Karmila and mastered at "Chartmakers" by Svante Forsbäck.

Trixter Ready To Return With 'New Audio Machine' In April

George Gakis has been a longstanding figure in the Greek rock music scene. H.E.A.T Set To 'Address The Nation' On March 28th

H.E.A.T are gearing up to release the follow-up to their 2010 album 'Freedom Rock' called 'Address The Nation', which will drop on March 28th through Gain/Sony Music.

Bejelit is not a newbee in the heavy metal scene. They debuted in 2004 with the critically acclaimed album Hellgate" and since then they've built a solid reputation by releasing two more efforts and they've played hundreds of shows all over Europe, most notably their 2008 and 2011 appearances at Slovenia's Metal Camp Festival.

LOS ANGELES - Beverly Hills, Calif., police say detectives are investigating after pop icon Whitney Houston died in her room on the fourth floor of the Beverly Hilton. Beverly Hills police Lt. Mark Rosen told reporters outside the Beverly Hilton that Houston was pronounced dead at 3:55 p.m. in her room on the fourth floor of the hotel. Her body remained there and Beverly Hills detectives were investigating.

VAN HALEN / A DIFFERENT KIND OF TRUTH (2012)

For a band like Van Halen no words are enough, I mean that with such a great career they are among the 'dinosaurs' of rock. They have released some great albums and their songs are classics among the hard rock fans. Their first chapter with David Lee Roth made them famous and gave them respectability and with Sammy Hagar, as Van Halen's lead shouter, the band took a more commercial path with a catchier sound. If you ask me, I would say that even if I like the band's first releases a lot, I find the 'Van 'Hagar' period more interesting! I, also, think that Sammy Hagar has a better voice and with him the band put more attitude and muscle in their sound! But all these are history. The fact is that Van Halen are back after all those years with an album which is called "A Different Kind Of Truth".
