MR. BIG / LIVE FROM THE LIVING ROOM (2012)

In February 2009, when it was announced that Mr. Big, one of the 'highest quality' Hard Rock bands, were to re-unite with their original line-up, all the die-hards of the band and, generally of this scene, waited impatiently! Eric Martin, Paul Gilbert, Billy Sheehan and Pat Torpey, to celebrate the twentieth anniversary of their debut album announced their tour which began in June with performances in ten locations (including the Budokan).

This tour finally brought the release of a brilliant Live CD and DVD and excitement about the reunion of the band. Mr. Big return to the studio to write and record a new album titled "What If ...". The new album went gold in Japan and the band toured to promote the new release. At the end of last year, during their live performances to promote the album, Mr. Big were invited at the WOWOW TV Studios in Tokyo to make a special-guest appearance.

The band members had in mind to present to their audience something completely different that they've done the previous times in front of their Japanese fans. The idea of a purely acoustic show plus some small 'electric' parties and a string quintet, with arrangements provided by the well-known Takashi Miyazaki, became a reality and reflected in the "Live From the Living Room". So, in this live album we will hear ten classic Mr. Big tunes with a 'fresh' approach. The question is if you still need another one live recording from the Mr. Big? This does not mean that the final result is bad, the opposite. It is a well-played album with huge arrangements, very good performances and with all the 'quality' of Mr. Big imprinted on each song.

For the fans of Mr. Big, this release is required to be checked out. For the rest of you, it would be good to hear an interesting live release from an amazing band.
