ICED EARTH / DYSTOPIA (2011)

Firstly, I have to say that I'm not a big fan of this band but, I have to admit that Iced Earth is one of the most respectable bands in the planet and they have released some really good albums in the past which made every single fan of this gerne very happy.

"Dystopia" is the band's 10th release and it's in one word a powerfull album. It's aggressive, solid, it has great arrangements and some really strong riffs from the band's mastermind Jon Schaffer. Also, the new frontman, Stu Block, has great vocal abilities and he achieves to bond with the rest of the band. About the rhythm section, I have to say that it is tight as a rock! Highlights from the new effort are the head-banging "Boiling Point", the brilliant "End Of Innocense", the mid-tempo tune of "Anthem" and "Dystopia".

Bottom line is that "Dystopia" is a great Power Metal album that shows why this band is among the elit of this gerne!
