REVIEW : Mädhouse, Plead The Fifth (Release: 11 July 2025, ROAR)

Mädhouse is an Austrian glam metal band from Vienna, formed in 2017 by guitarist and songwriter Mikky Stixx. Drawing inspiration from legendary bands such as Mötley Crüe, Skid Row, and Ratt, Mädhouse blends the raw energy of classic hard metal era with a modern hard rock twist. 

With their first album "Money Talks Bullshit Walks" (2019), the band introduced with their high-energy style, followed by "Bad Habits" (2021), a more polished and aggressive follow-up. They further refined their sound with the killer "Down 'N' Dirty" (2022), and now, with their latest release, "Plead The Fifth" (2024) the band is tryin' to bring back the glory late 80's style further with heavier riffs, more attitude and with bigger choruses!!

"Midnite Fever" kicks-off the party here with style, attitude and power! It's one of those tracks that push you to turn on the volume and bang your head!! Ass-kickin' stuff! Next, in "We Run Riot" we have a groovier, heavier and very Skid Row-esque tune that will make you wanna turn the walls down! Groove and heaviness in perfect balance along with a killer chorus line! "Bring On The Night", "Wicked Hearts" and "Get A Grip" are all three powerful, sleaze and in-your-face rockers in a very old-fashioned way!! Bands such as Shotgun Messiah and Pretty Boy Floyd would be very very proud!! Checkout also "It's A Monster In My Head", "Mad To The Bone" and "I Die Alone" an the sure thing is that you'll love these guys!!!


Raw, energetic, old-fashioned, ass-kickin' and with tons of attitude Madhouse's newest opus comes to kick our ass and bring memories from the golden era of Hair/Sleaze Metal!!! For the fans of Skid Row, Pretty Boy Floyd, Ratt and Motley Crue this is a mandatory addition to your collection!!!
