The Greek metal band Firewind will be embarking on their first headlining tour of North America. The "Frets Of Fury" tour kicks off October 9, and features opening bands Arsis, White Wizzard and Nightrage. Guitarist Gus G has been busy playing with Ozzy Osbourne, but returns to his band to conquer North America!
GUS G. says about the album : “Many parts of the world are going through a political and economic crisis. You see people reacting, they are protesting, almost revolting. So the new album has a kind of rebellious message to it, it’s a wake-up call.“ Of course the raging crisis is affecting the music of the five-piece from Southern Europe. „We still play a mix of Melodic Metal and Rock&Roll, but this album is darker, angrier and heavier. My guitar playing is better than in the past, my rhythm is tight and heavy, my soloing improved. There is a lot of cool guitar on the record, not only melodies but a lot of cool technical stuff as well. I worked hard on that.”
