The Poodles / Sweet Trade (2007)

"Sweet Trade" was the band's follow up album to the successful "Metal Will Stand Tall". Once again The Poodles are offering a very good album full of big hooks, great songwritting and strong performances. And they achieved to marry hard rock, metal and some pop rock elements with such a great way!

I think that, when you have released an album such as "Metal Will Stand Tall", which had a huge success, you set the standarts too high for your next release. But with this band it seems that nothing is impossible. "Sweet Trade" was released back in 2007 and it's a damn good one!

"Seven Seas" was the first single from "Sweet Trade". A superb tune and maybe one of the best tracks that this band have ever recorded. Other highlights from this release are the heavier "thunderball" with an excellent guitar work, "Reach The Sky", "Shine", "Kiss Goodbye" and "Band Of Brothers".

Overall this is another solid release from one of the best 'new' bands. A must have for every melodic hard rock fan who like an album full of big hooks, catchy choruses and huge guitar work!
