REVIEW : Drive At Night, Echoes Of An Era (Pride & Joy Music Release: 17 June 2022)

Drive at Night was formed in 2021 by the two long-time friends and band mates Joachim Nordlund and Johan Lindstedt from Astral Doors and SunStrike. During 2021, twelve songs were written and recorded in Joachim's studio in Borlänge, Sweden, and produced by Drive At Night. The cover artwork was designed by Blekkmark Design.

The style here can be described as pure Scandi melodic hard rock/edgy AOR with strong emphasis on big choruses to sing-a-long, clever hooks, edgy guitars and powerful vocals. Some strong influences from bands such as Brother Firetribe and Sunstrike can be heard here as well.

All the songs in "Echoes Of An Era" are well-composed, well-performed and in each and every single track in general you'll find something interesting to put a big smile upon your face.

Highlights here? Let me think; I can assure you that there's no weak tune here or a filler in sight! From the cool opener tune of "The 80's Calling", to the harder edged "Partners In Crime", "Weekend Fun" and the huge commercial "One" and "Wild In The Streets" every single track is pure delight!!

Drive At Night with their brand new opus "Echoes Of An Era" achieve to bring a really fun, interesting and full of attitude record that is a must have for each and every die hard of the melodic hard rock/AOR scene in general!!!
