With already two ass-kickin' records on their back Devil's Train sounds like the perfect and European answer to bands such as Black Label Society and Black Stone Cherry. With in-your-face and powerful vocals from RD Liapakis, some 'tasteful' and breathtaking guitars and with a killer rhtyhm section "Ashes And Bones"comes to shake things a bit!!
The new album kicks-off furiously and impressively with the 'punchy' "The Devil And The Blues" (in which the Whitesnake-esque vibes, with a heavier vibe, are more than obvious) and the Southern heavy rock "Girl Of South Dakota". The straight-forward and groovier "Rising Of Fire" is just great hard rock stuff in a highest order while with "You Promised Me Love" we are dealing with one of this year's best song; seriously!! This one sounds like it jumped out from the golden late 80's!! I would described it as Whitesnake on steroids đ but, you have to check it on your own to see how sentational this tune is! Amazing stuff!
The blusier "Ashes And Bones" is solid and "More" is yet another high-energetic hard rock dynamite enough to tear your house down! The 'sleazier' (regarding the lyrics...) "Smell Sex Tonight" is cool while in "Hold The Line" DEVIL'S TRAIN doin' what they know best; to deliver ass kickin' hard rock music!! The cover of the classic CAMEO classic tune of "Word Up" will rip your head off!!
DEVIL'S TRAIN is back in business with this ass-kicking, high-energetic and massive new opus entitled "Ashes And Bones"!! A record that must be played on maximum volume!!!
