REVIEW : Jessica Wolff , Para Dice (METALAPOLIS RECORDS, Release Date : 19.06.2020 )

It's been already three years since the release of the solid "Grounded" record. A succesfull tour with the legendery TREAT followed and nowadays JESSICA WOLF is back in business with her brand new opus entitled "Para Dice". The new album is going to be released through Metalapolis Records this May.

For those who know the 'who is who' of Jessica Wolf they already know that she is a very active woman. She is acting, practicing martial arts and, also, doing stunt work!! Pretty impressive!

So, the question is what do we expect from her new "Para Dice" opus? The answer is simple; pure modern, edgy, powerful and catchy music. Her voice is simply sensational and reminds me a bit of Alanis Morissette.

The opening tune of "Ella's Song" sounds like the perfect appetizer of what's to follow. Edgy, in-your-face and modern enough to make you play it really loud! In "Perfect Kind Of Wrong" we are dealing with a more up-tempo and anthemic tune that sounds like it jumped out from Morissette's debut album. In my humble opinion, this one is one of the album's best tracks. The melodic and more relaxed "The Sunny Side Of The Bay" is another favourite while in "Fight Forever" Jessica delivers a fantastic modern heavy rock song that features a catchy hook, chorus and some killer guitar work. The commercial "Superhero", the groovier "Demons" and "Strangers" are all three solid samples of the new album.

I have to admit that I enjoyed each and every single moment of Jessica Wolf's brand new album. Her voice is magical, her attitude is really bad-ass and "Para Dice" includes a bunch of some killer modern heavy rock songs enough to make your day.
