Greek melodic hard rock band of WILD SOULS is back in business with its brand new, and already third official release, "Queen Of My Heart". The new opus is going to be released through Lion's Pride Music this May.
Wild Souls took fleash and blood in Kavala, my home town, back in 2010. Since then, they have released two albums ("On The Road" and "Game Of Love"), played some live gigs in Greece and also opened for bands such as Pretty Maids, Axxis and Steam Roller (the band of Doug Aldrich).
The band consists of George Nikolaou on lead vocals, Kostis Tsiligiris on guitars, Thanos Kalantzopoulos on guitars, Leyteris Nasos on bass and Michael Saroglou on drums.
The new album kicks-off with the Whitesnake-esque tune of "Nothing But Loving You". For sure, a great start to kick off thing here. A classic hard rock tune that features strong arrangements, a tight musicianship and, of course, superb guitar lines by the dynamic duo of Tsiligiris and Kalantzopoulos. The grouvier and hard hittin' blues tune of "Night Groove" is one of my personal favourites here while with "Love Ain't No Lie" Wild Souls brings back the glory sound of the mid 80's with style.
"Ready To Rock", "Sexccelent" and "Set Me Free" are all three good samples of Wild Souls' music. One of the highlights here is without any doubt the ultra melodic hymn of "I Remember You"!!! Everything in this track sounds perfect; it includes a killer melody, a superb guitar solo and a chorus line to die for! I just love this one!! More groove n' bad attitude (and more Whitesnake pinches...) in "Snakebite" and more up-tempo vibe in the edgy AOR-ish "Hold Me Tight" makes both tracks a must listen for every serious hard rock fan out there.
Closing my review for the new Wild Souls' opus, I have to say that I loved it and enjoyed it from start to finish! A couple of average tunes don't bother me at all; "Queen Of My Heart" at its general is a well-played, solid guitar driven hard rock album that includes some killer tracks in it, period! All of its members put heart and soul and that's a thing that reflected to their music....it's reflected to each and every song and for that reason you have to check and buy "Queen Of My Heart" in its official realease date. Highly recommended!
