REVIEW : Angerhead - Fueled by Rage (EP, 2016)

Angerhead is a San Jose, California based band that started in February 2011 by guitarist Eric Beard (Dr.Chunk, Xzanthus) and vocalist Paul Hastey (Plaster), who decided to put down their classic Bay Area Thrash, Metal, Punk and Hardcore influences into their music and create a new powerful band.

The band is rounded out by Bassist Jim Pegram (Mudface, Imagika, Skinner) and drummer David O'Neal (Stormy Strong). Angerhead achieved very fast to create a major buzz within the Bay Area Thrash scene and they gained a lot of attention by sharing the stages with Suicidal Tendencies, Soulfly, Exodus, Testament, Death Angel, Forbidden, DRI, Quiet Riot, Static X, Kittie and many more hard hitting musical acts.

The band has already released two EP's and, nowadays, they are ready to unleash their brand new work which is entitled "Fueled By Rage". The music here is based, and it's obvious, to the classic Bay Area Thrash scene (Exodus, Testament e.t.c.) filled with thunderous drums, brutal and aggressive vocals, sharp and razor guitars perfect for your daily headbanging!!!! The track that I enjoyed most of all is "Take Me As I Am". This one brought me memories from another era when my friends were crazzy for bands such as Exodus, Death Angel, Testament e.t.c. This Ep, also, contains a nice cover of Motorhead's big anthem "Iron Fist".

This is metal babe!! Recommended only for the fans of the above mentioned bands!!!! Good stuff!!!
