BAD HABIT / ATMOSPHERE (2011)

After the release of their best of album, "Timeless", Bad Habit is back with their brand new album! And what an album! For me this is probably one of the best albums that this band has ever recorded. It's a well played melodic hard rock album full of passionate performances and great tracks!

When Bax Fehling was stating : " It’s all about ‘striking a chord...’ both musically and emotionally. It’s about connecting with listener at more than one level. It’s about delivering powerful melodic rock that inspires people, and that triggers positive feelings, thoughts and actions...This has been the Bad Habit approach for many years and continues to be so with our new album Atmosphere ", nobody could have imagined that the new album was going to be so good! Yes, it's a great pleasure that Bad Habit's "Atmosphere" is a welcome back to the huge melodic hard rock sound with catchy and memorable choruses, big hooks, great guitar work and a solid production.

"In The Heat Of The Night" opens the album and shows the intensions of the band. And which are these intensions? To offer a great album full of melodies. It's one of these tracks that combines perfectly the band's earlier elements with a 'fresh' air! Other highlights from "Atmosphere" are the anthemic tune of "Words Are Not Enough", the AORish "I Wanna Be The One" with the ultra-catchy chorus line, the amazing "Fantasy" and "Save Me". The rest of the tracks are in the same high quality level as the tunes that I mention above.

All in all this is a great album. It's perfectly balanced with an 80's feeling in all over the album. The final result will please every fan of melodic hard rock sound and for sure this release is going to end up high in this year's Top 10 albums. Well done!
