VEGA's brand new album, "Grit Your Teeth", is going to be released through Frontiers Music this June and it's going to blow up your speakers with its big, loud and updated sound! Yes, you've read well; "Grit Your Teeth" is an album that's gonna make some big noise out there. This time around the boys in VEGA put some more attitude, heaviness and also some modern heavy pinches as well and the result is killer!
They’ve toured over the years with Skid Row, Last in Line, FM, Magnum, Joe Elliott’s Down and Outz, Dan Reed Network, and have had festival appearances at DOWNLOAD, Planet Rockstock, Steelhouse, HRH AOR, Rockingham, and the Frontiers Rock Festival in Milan, that have all gone into shaping them into one of the UK’s finest melodic rock bands.
With already five superb releases on their sleeves these Brits are ready to unleash their brand new modern melodic hard rock beast for your ear pleasure. The new opus kicks-off with the heavier and punchy "Blind". Man, I just love this tune. Modern and more agressive but with all the band's earlier elements "Blind" sounds the perfect opener of what's to follow. In the next couple of songs such as "(I Don't Need) Perfection" and the Leppard-esque "Grit Your Teeth" the boys are delivering two of the best tracks of the new album (and probably two of their best songs ever...).
The up-beat and loud "Man On A Mission" is again a solid one while in "Don't Fool Yourself" we have a 100% ass-kickin VEGA track. More in a classic Vega direction this one is pure melodic rock paradise. The moodier "Consequence Of Having A Heart", the power ballad of "Battles Ain't A War" and the ultra catchy "How We Live" & "Done With Me" are all simply killer stuff!
For a big VEGA fan, as I am, "Grit Your Teeth" is a hell of a record and probably the band's finest moment here, no doubt 'bout that. "Grit Your Teeth" includes big hooks and choruses, melodies to die for, killer songs and some bad-ass performances enough to make your day! A strong contender for the album of 2020!! Buy or die!
