I really like this band a lot. Either with "Antillius: The King Of The Light", in 2014, or with the brilliant "Twilight Of The Gods", in 2015, KALEDON is a solid Epic Power Metal band that when it comes to deliver a strong record it's there to offer powerful songs with great arrangements that please every fan of this scene.

Nowadays and after 3 years since its last album, Kaledon is back with the brand new "Carnagus : Emperor Of The Darkness". With a renewed line-up, enhanced by Michele Guaitoli's (Overtures, ex-Future is Tomorrow) powerful vocals and Manuele di Ascenzo's (ex-Secret Rule) amazing drums skills, mastermind Alex Mele (guitars) has finally forged a new chapter of the 'Legend of the Forgotten Reign' saga reaching the perfect mix of modern riffs, classic power metal speeds, epic choirs and epic symphonic arrangements. Together with Paolo Campitelli (keyboards) and the founding members Tommy Nemesio (guitars) and Paolo Lezziroli (bass guitar) Kaledon are back, stronger than ever.

The first highlight comes with the furious "The Beginning Of The Night". Heavy riffs, double-kick drums, powerful vocals and a strong epic feeling in this solid metal anthem! Next, "Eyes Without Life" is a more 'modern' power metal sample of new KALEDON but without loosing any of the band's earlier elements.

In "Dark Reality", the band delivers an aggressive and rifftastic tune while in "Trapped On The Throne" we are dealing with yet another superb and melodic power metal hymn. I, also, liked a lot the last song, "The End Of The Undead", which grabbed me at once with its variety and its excellent epic and catchy chorus line.

As far as I'm concerned, this is by far one of Kaledon's best albums to date, period! Epic melodic power metal at its best with powerful tunes that will please every fan of this genre. My opinion is that this band deserves more popularity among the fans of the pure Epic Power Metal.
