REVIEW : Social Stain -- Social Stain (2017)

Finland's Social Stain is a band that stays loyal to the roots of the late 80's, early 90's, hard 'n' heavy bands and that's a thing that reflects in every single song here. The band's self-titled record brings back the glory days of the music we love with style and with a lot of attitude!!!

The opening tune of "Breakout" is simply breathtaking! Pure and old-fashioned 'ballsy' heavy rock that recalls Metallica's 'Load' era (and that's a thing that I like 'cause I love 'Load' album!). In "Dead Man Talking", the band continues to offer some of the best Metallica-influenced music that I have listen to since ages!!! "Red Star Rising" is a more straight forward rocker while in "Joke's On You" we are dealing with another super-cool and powerful song.

Some Therapy? influences make their appearance in "Time To Bleed" and "Possessed" to come to "Walls" which is one of the album's highlights! 'Punchy', in-your-face and with tons of attitude this track is perfect for head-banging!!!

Loud, old-fashioned and 'ballsy'; this is Social Stain's music and I like it!!!!
