REVIEW : EVENLINE -- In Tenebris (2017)

After an EP, in 2010 with the title "The Coming Life", and a debut album in 2004 (Dear Morpheus) it's time for EVENLINE to come back with a brand new record which is entitled "In Tenebris". The band has already shared stages with big names such as Alter Bridge, Seether and Be The Wolf and has gained positive feedback.

The sound of "In Tenebris" is basically modern heavy rock with heavy and shorts riffs, powerful and emotional vocal performances and along with a darker-moodier vibe in it makes the final result a must check for the fans of the modern heavy/hard rock sound.

"In Tenebris" includes 10 tracks that all feature solid arrangements, a solid production and, as I already mentioned above, a darker and sometimes melancholic feeling that gives t the final result an extra flavor and makes it a smart purchase for the fans of this scene. The 'brutal' vocals in some of the songs here are another interesting part and I dare to say that I enjoyed it a lot. Highlights here are the 'big' modern heavy rocker "Sometimes We Die", the heavier and rhythmic "Never There", the opener "All Against Me"  and "Wasted Years".

For sure, Evenline releases an extremely interesting album that includes all the necessary things to become a fan favorite for fans of the modern rock and hard rock sound.

Rating : 7,5/10
