WICKED SENSATION / Adrenaline Rush (2014)

The truth here is that this band has grabbed me at once with the incredible song "The Preacher" from the debut album "Reflected". That was a well-played Euro hard rock/metal with a strong dose of early Pink Cream 69, Whitesnake of the "Slip Of The Tongue" era and a more metallic edge, for the extra flavor. Then, they continued with the good "Exceptional" in 2004 and in 2010 "Crystallized" was followed.

Nowadays, Wicked Sensation is back in business with a new album and a new singer, David Reece (Bangalore Choir, ex-Accept) with their fourth album which is entitled "Adrenaline Rush".

For David Reece the words are unnecessary. This guy is in the music business for years and has released some really strong albums neither with Bangalore Choir nor with Tango Down (two very good albums). So, with a singer such as Reece and a team of musicians such as Dennis Ward (Pink Cream 69)in the production, Harry Hess (backing vocals) and Eric Rango (keys) success is pretty much guaranteed.

"Adrenaline Rush" as a whole result is good. It includes some gems like the ala- Bangalore Choir catchy tune of "Angel In Black", the heavy opener anthem of "King Of The World", the beautiful and emotional ballad "This Time" and the Whitesnake-esque "Same Old Situation".

For the fans of the band is a 'safe' buy, no doubt 'bout that. Also, for the fans of David Reece is a must check it out. As I said above, "Adrenaline Rush" is a good hard rock album that certainly should not go unnoticed.
