GLORYFUL / Ocean Blade (2014)

GLORYFUL was formed in summer 2010 by lead singer Johnny La Bomba and Shredmaster JB. The band's 3-track demo "Sedna’s Revenge" quickly gained them a high reputation among the classic heavy metal underground scene and at that time Gloryful played in numerous shows with bands like Powerwolf, Vicious Rumours, Ordan Ogan and Helstar among others and left enthusiastic crowds longing for a full-length debut album.

"The Warrior‘s Code", which was mixed and mastered by legendary Swedish sound alchemist Dan Swanö, impressed both fans and press all over the world. Live performances followed to promote the debut and nowadays the band is coming back with the brand new "Ocean Blade".

"Hiring The Dead" is the album's stomping opener and Gloryful takes no prisoners with! A fast-paced heavy rocker with a strong classic metal sound and impressive vocal performances. "The Master's Hands" is yet another impressive track out of this new release; heavy as it gets with a double-kick drumming, strong arrangements, a huge guitar work and a memorable chorus line. Classic heavy metal anthems such as "Cradle Of Heroes", "Ocean Blade" and "All Men To The Arms" are showing the band's influences from famous bands like Judas Priest, Running Wild and Iron Maiden without loosing its own identity.

This is a strong, powerful and classic heavy metal album all the way! Gloryful mixes perfectly its influences with an updated and fresh sound and the result is really solid. The future of this kinda of scene is belong to them!
