Wise Girl Wants "Your Love, Not Your Money" for their New Single

Los Angeles, CA - Wise Girl, the pop/rock band from New York, is asking fans to contribute love, not their money. In anticipation for the band’s new album, You’ll Just Have to Wait due out September 10th, the band is asking their fans to help spread the word and support by mentioning them and their new album on social media, rather than buying the single on iTunes or other traditional retail outlets.

Fans can send their “love” to the band by including the hash tag #LoveNotMoney on their Facebook or Twitter message before September 10th, 2013.  In exchange, they will send you their new single “Stuck in This” included on their unreleased album. Lead singer Abby Weitz says, “the options are endless. Write it on a sticky note, or in chalk, whatever! Take a photo of it, tag us and that’s it. We contact you directly and send the MP3 over”. The band has also set up a “Pay With a Tweet” button on their website (www.WiseGirlMusic.com) enabling fans to easily tweet and get the mp3 or sign up for the mailing list and receive the song in their inbox.

“Stuck in This” is the lead single from the New York based band who released their three-song EP in December of 2012, earning them numerous accolades and prompted them to record their debut full length album, You’ll Just Have to Wait. The single features Weitz’s virtuous and angelic vocals, which in turn are complimented by the deep guitar riffs of Chris Fasulo and warm drums from Harry Keithline. Penned by Abby Weitz, the song describes a tumultuous relationship in which she is incapable of breaking the confines. Weitz sings, “We’re stuck in this together, I don’t like you, I cracked under the pressure.”

The debut album from the pop/rock band was produced by guitarist Chris Fasulo and written by singer/guitarist Abby Weitz. Honest lyrics, wit and unexpected tonalities color this band’s uniquely intricate songs. No subject matter is off limits for Weitz, as she seamlessly lets her emotions consume each track.  Weitz notes, that the lyrics are enkindled by individuals who are currently or were previously in her life creating a time capsule to her existence.  The earnest lyrics and harmonic sounds of the band are in large part contributing factors to the Wise Girl success. The band has graced the stage of numerous legendary New York venues, such as The Knitting Factory, Mercury Lounge, Piano’s and The Greene Space. They have also appeared on Beta TV, Playboy Radio, Kate Spade and many more.

Armed with music deemed as their “best work to date”, Wise Girl is about to turn up the volume for their devout fans with their first full album, You’ll Just Have to Wait debuting, September 10th 2013. Be sure to share the “love” and follow the band at www.WiseGirlMusic.com
