KIX / LIVE IN BALTIMORE (2012)

The history of KIX begins many years ago, in 1978. In 198,1 they signed a contract with Atlantic Records and released their self-titled debut album which received very good feedback. Later KIX 'took' a more commercial direction and worked with the mighty Beau Hill (Warrant, Ratt). Their " Midnight Dynamite", is considered till' today as classic and the song" Cold Shower " was in a daily playlist of MTV. Two really wonderful albums followed and finally 'cause of the grunge revolution the band took split in 1995!

The members of KIX  got their own way in different bands and projects until the mid nineties when they decided to reunite the band for a live in their birthplace, Maryland / Pennsylvania which went very well. After the success of this gig, KIX  continue to perform live at various events participating in Rocklahome & Oklahomaand.

This cd / dvd was recorded during their appearance in Baltimore and indisputably proves how good this band is live!! What is most impressive here is the voice of Steve Whiteman!!! This guy apparently has lost none of his voice skills and shows us once again how good frontman is and how we have missed new material from KIX.

Also, the whole band is tight and their performances are top notch!!! The track list includes songs from each release of the group. Songs such as "Cold Blood", "Midnite Dynamite", "Girl Money" and "Blow My Fuse"  brings us some good memories. For the die-hards there is a version with a dvd.
Heavy Paradise's Rating : 8/10
