UNHERZ / HERZSCHLAG (2011)

Wilder than the Onkelz, rougher than the Hosen and more outrageous than Frei.Wild – simply UNHERZ! „We live our lives and do what we please!“ With this statement the band brings it right to the point and to their fans. Songs and lyrics inspired by their daily lives, topics and myths around the four-piece hard rockers  leave no room or time for fairytales. This way the band does songs with straight attitude and a huge identification for anybody.




The band has already toured in a lot of places in Germany and achieved to build a big reputation around its name. Its demo sold almost 500 copies! Not bad for a newbee! Its sound is heavy without loosing its melody. Heavy in-your-face riffing and a 'fat' sound in drums are two of the band's strongest points. The shouter of Unherz is rough and strong and in some parts reminds me of another German band, Ramstein. Their songs move somewhere between Euro Melodic Metal and 80's Hard Rock stuff with a strong dose of German bands such as Onkelz, Hosen and Ramstein.

Bottom line is that this is an interesting release. This is not something breathtaking or 'new'. It has some really nice arrangements, passion, attitude and overall good songs. The choice is yours.
