RED ROSE / LIVE THE LIFE YOU'VE IMAGINED (2011)

RED ROSE is a 'new' band that hails from Israel. They achieve to combine the 80's melodic hard rock sound with some heavier elements. When they started the band, RED ROSE's members had in their mind to form a band that will play good music. And that is excactly what they are doing. Their music is very good with well-crafted songs, catchy choruses, very good arrangements and a solid production. For the production of their album, the band hired the mighty Tommy Hansen who is well-known for his work with Helloween, Pretty Maids and Coldspell among others.

The album starts with such a dynamic way with "Turn Back The Time". Nice melodies which in some parts reminds a bit of Symphonic Rock, passionate performances and a solid guitar work. "Name Of The Stone" is another good tune with a cathcier chorus line and make you whisper it for days! "The Last Drop" has a brilliant melody and it's one of the album's highlights. "Gone With The Sunrise" is a solid track and features heavier guitars but, also, some proggressive elements as well. "Dreamer" is an emotional song and "Tough To Love" has a nice rhythm with suberb guitar riff.

All in all, this a very interesting release. Well-crafted Melodic Hard Rock with a strong dose of heavier elements but, also, some proggy pinches as well. It's a very enjoyable album and I believe that every single fan of this gerne have to check it out!
