The Story : - Has been around in the music business Since late 80s. These guys have each one of them a history of playing live. Some of them have played as an opening act for band such as Dee snider, Paul di Anno, White Lion, The Poodles, Easy Action. Just to name a few and with major Swedish metal acts, even been on tour in South America. Jose Sanchez has been around in a lot of bands such as: Fierce Conviction, Lies and Empire Saint. But hes heart has always been in the glam/hardrock and AOR music. This is for sure the kick ass live band you must see! Haven’t been slapped in your face today? Then you definitely need your dose of SANCHEZ right now! For all the die-hard fans of classic AOR/Glam/Hard Rock music. SANCHEZ
The Review : So, Sanchez are back with their brand new album called "Run The Streets". This is the band's third release, after their self-titled album in 2007 and "Nightride" in 2009. As you all assumed the band is playin' a great mix of 80's hard rock music with a fresh air! They achieved to combine the sound of bands such as White Lion, Dokken and Skid Row without loosing their own indentity.
The band consists of Jose Sanchez in the lead vocals, Kieven Klevmyr on guitars, Marc White on bass and Mr.Drumhead on drums. The voice of J. Sanchez is powerfull and sleaze, yet still melodic, and he is giving to the tracks the extra something to take this band to a higher level!! The guitar sound is melodic and sometimes heavier with some nice riffs and solos, the rhythm section is solid and the production is overall good. The songs are all well-written with a strong dose of 80's hair metal sound but, also, some more sleazier elements and a glam rock attitude that will travel you years back, to the glory 80's, early 90's!!! "Stand Up For Your Rights" is nasty, anthemic and has an ass-kickin' rhythm, strong enough to make you shake and tumble! "We Got Your Love" is pure 80's tune with a really good guitar work, but it lacks of a catchier chorus line. "Run The Streets" is one of my favorite tracks from this album. "Friends" shows the softer side of the band with the acoustic mid-tempo rhythm. "Bullet In Your Heart" is a sensational rocker and "Empty Words" is a great power ballad!
All in all, this is a very interesting release from Sanchez. The boys are tryin' to bring back the glory 80's sound and, in a point, they achieve it. I think that this band has the right attitude, the songs and the passion to make the difference! Well done!!
