ALIAS / ALIAS (1990)

This is probably one of the best melodic rock albums ever! From the songwritting and the big production to the huge and passionate performances, every little thing in this album make ALIAS debut album an essential purchase for every serious AOR fan out there!

This album came out in 1990 and till now with each listening you realize that back then the inspiration of bands like ALIAS, and many others, was unique. Unique to write catchy songs with feeling and attitude and the capability to write songs that could last forever! Steve DeMarchi was the co-founder and lead guitarist of the band, but also the co-founder and lead guitarist of Sheriff. Together with his band mate Freddy Curci (Sheriff) teamed up and create ALIAS. The power ballad "More Than Words Can Say" was in the number two position in 1990 on the Billboard Charts! A true magical tune!

No weak songs here, no fillers, only very good tunes that can make every fan want some more. And the more came with ALIAS' last year's second album! Except the amazing ballad "More Than Words Can Say", there are plenty other superb songs in this debut. From the great start of "Say What I Wanna Say" to the last "Standing in the Darkness" everything here is perfectly balanced.
All in all this is a must have for every melodic fan out there and for those that haven't got the chance to hear this gem my advice is to go and buy this! Highly recommended!
